Work closely with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components to support production schedules and minimize inventories. Collaborate with engineering teams to implement new processes, technologies, and equipment to improve production efficiency and capacity. Develop and maintain production planning policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance with quality and safety standards. Stay informed about industry trends, developments, and best practices in production planning and supply chain management to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. Minimum Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations management, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CPIM) preferred. 2 years proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations, preferably in a highly automated manufacturing environment or startup company. Strong understanding of production planning principles, lean manufacturing concepts, and supply chain management. Proficiency in production planning software and tools, such as ERP systems, MRP systems, and advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights. Strong understanding of SIOP processes, and LEAN manufacturing concepts for material flow. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
