ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Operates sewing machines * Hand stitches and embroiders as needed * Inspects and repairs uniforms as needed * Make uniforms from patterns * Takes measurements * Provides alterations as needed * Ensures that all other articles, i.e., linens, draperies, etc. are kept in proper order by performing repairs as required * Issues uniforms to team members completing all required paperwork according to established departmental guidelines * Responsible for the cleanliness and safety of the wardrobe area * Selects patterns, material, equipment, etc * Assists in laundry when required * Assists with all distributing bags, checking in dry cleaning, filing, etc * All other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: * Ability to operate all equipment. * Ability to distinguish between colors * Ability to work under time constraints * Must be familiar with all aspects of sewing and sewing machine use * Knowledge of materials and ability to make uniforms from patterns * Must have good communication skills * Ability to communicate with Team members and guests * Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process * Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays * Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, twisting, bending and lifting PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: * Able to push, pull, carry, or lift up to 80lbs repetitively throughout the work day. * The physical ability to stand and/or walk continuously for duration of shift. * The physical ability to climb stairs, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously. * The physical ability to frequently crouch, push/pull, squat, and work above the shoulders with both arms. * The physical ability to use both hands for continuous grasping. * The physical ability to push, pull, and lift various furniture items such as mattresses, end tables, chairs, ottomans, lamps, and tables. * The physical ability to tolerate any required personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, safety goggles, and other protective equipment deemed appropriate on a continuous basis. * Ability to safely operate motorized equipment * Attention to detail and must have visual capabilities needed to inspect work upon completion to avoid leaving deficient work.
