About Our Family
We're a busy, hardworking family moving through a full season of life, with careers we care deeply about, two energetic young daughters, and a household with a lot of daily activity.
Both parents hold high-responsibility jobs. Dad works early mornings, and Mom is a high-producing entrepreneur whose schedule can expand significantly during peak seasons. We love our work, and we love our kids, and right now the balance between the two feels stretched thin. Our daughters, ages 5 and 8, are bright, curious, and active. They are ready for more connection, more activities, and more time with us that isn't rushed or squeezed between chores.
We live in a rural area near Astoria and share our home with two playful, rambunctious kittens who add plenty of personality to the mix. We are also entering a new chapter as grandparents move onto the property, a meaningful transition that brings both connection and added complexity as family needs evolve over time.
At our core, we are thoughtful, down-to-earth people who value ease, humor, and getting things done. We care about creating a home that feels supportive and functional, a place where life runs more smoothly and there is room to truly enjoy one another, not just manage the day-to-day.
Who You Are
You're a confident, capable self-starter who brings order, ease, and steady forward movement to a busy home. You notice what needs doing, take initiative, and follow through without needing constant direction. You enjoy collaborating and helping build systems that actually work, and you're comfortable assessing how a household runs, working from a list, and shifting gears quickly when priorities change or last-minute needs come up.
You're decisive and action-oriented, understanding that progress matters more than perfection. You manage yourself well, communicate professionally, and use technology with ease to stay organized and efficient. Just as important, you're kind, inclusive, and easy to be around. You bring a sense of humor, emotional intelligence, and a positive presence into the home, knowing that how the work gets done matters just as much as what gets done.
Key Qualities Include:
Confident & Capable: Comfortable taking ownership, making decisions, and working independently.
Collaborative & Systems-Minded: Enjoys creating and improving systems that help a household run smoothly.
Decisive & Action-Oriented: Moves things forward with thoughtful judgment rather than waiting for perfect direction.
Nimble & Flexible: Adapts easily when plans change and pivots quickly to meet daily needs.
Self-Managed & Professional: Communicates clearly, manages time well, and uses technology effectively.
Grounded & Calm: Brings steadiness and composure to busy or unpredictable moments.
Warm, Inclusive & Easy to Be Around: Leads with kindness, humor, and emotional intelligence.
