PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operate maintenance equipment such as dump trucks, asphalt oil trucks, compressors, rollers, snowplows, sweepers, and various other equipment in support of a variety of maintenance and construction operations involving streets and alleys. Operate equipment needed for each assigned project; pick up and deliver equipment from construction sites. Load trucks with mineral aggregate and other material; shovel dirt and asphalt. Install street barricades and cones prior to the performance of street repair activities; direct and control traffic around work sites. Roll asphalt; maintain asphalt and concrete road surfaces.
