About the Role:
We're looking for enthusiastic, energetic, and self-motivated team players with at least 2 years of customer-facing experience to:
Deliver vehicles straight to customers' doors with our custom car haulers (don't worry - a commercial license is not required to drive the hauler and you will receive ample training)
Frequently load/unload vehicles onto the hauler (this part does require getting physical!) and regularly inspect the car-hauler to make sure the vehicle maintains safe to drive
Complete customer paperwork and include thorough notes in our customer tracking system
Consistently drive safe and maintain a clean driving record in accordance with Carvana's CMV Driver Qualification policy.

Transport passengers to and from the designate route stops.

Reporting to the Parking Manager, the Shuttle Bus Driver transports students, faculty, staff, and visitors between the South Campus Park and Ride lots and the Main Campus. The Roots Shuttle Program transports clients being released from custody to three drop-off points: Dublin/Pleasanton BART, Oakland Coliseum BART, and Eastmont Transit Center from 9 a.m. to midnight. Shuttles will make two round trips per hour to transport clients to drop-off points.
The Shuttle Bus Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe transport of our passengers. This position requires strict adherence to schedules and transport-related laws and regulations. The Shuttle Bus Driver must also be able to diagnose and remedy basic mechanical issues that may arise.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Transport passengers to and from the designate route stops.
Conduct safety checks on the shuttle bus before every use.
Arrive at collection points prior to departure times.
Confirm that all passengers are present, and record no-shows.
Ensure adherence to passenger limits, both seated and standing.
Avoid high-traffic and accident-prone routes, where possible.
Record and report all major accidents and incidents to your supervisor.
Check that passengers disembark at the correct destinations, and in a timely manner.
Ensure that the shuttle bus is fueled, well-maintained, and presentable at all times.
Observe all relevant traffic and safety laws.
Attend all department and staff meetings as required.

Competencies
