Seattle Central Community College (SCCC) provides higher education and professional training in an accessible urban location. SCCC offers certificate programs, and associate's and bachelor's degrees, in the following types of fields: * Applied Behavioral Science * Business Information Technology * Culinary Arts * Interpreter Training/American Sign Language * Marine Engineering * Nursing * Web Design Those who want to obtain a higher degree at a four-year institution have the option of getting an AA or AS degree designed for college transfer. Students can complete certain coursework online, or they can take classes on campus during the day, in the evenings, or on the weekends. They can get involved in internships and study abroad opportunities as well. The modern quality of the school's training facilities, especially those for visual communications, has been recognized nationwide. SCCC also has programs available for those who do not speak English, providing more of the population access to education and training resources. There is an open admissions policy at SCCC. Anyone who is at least 18 years of age, and is a high school graduate, can apply for enrollment. Tuition rates are reduced for Washington residents.
