    We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Child Protection Team. This part-time position involves both independent and team-based clinical practice and consultation in the evaluation and management of pediatric patients referred for possible child abuse and neglect. This role potentially includes scheduled weekend and holiday coverage. Key Responsibilities: Perform clinical assessments of children suspected of being victims of abuse or neglect in ambulatory, emergency, and inpatient settings. Obtain medical histories, conduct physical examinations, and document findings appropriately. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests; develop and implement treatment plans. Provide expert consultation via telephone, video conferencing, or electronic communication to Child Protective Services and healthcare providers. Assess risk and make recommendations based on clinical data, social history, and collateral information. Collaborate closely with physicians, social workers, CPS, law enforcement, and other multidisciplinary professionals. Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and documentation for legal or investigative proceedings. Contribute to quality improvement and educational initiatives related to child protection. Required Education and Experience: Master's degree in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nurse practitioner program OR graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant program. One year work experience in a pediatric or family focused clinical area. Required Credentials: For Nurse Practitioners: Active, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington. Current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner For Physician Assistants: Active, unencumbered physician assistant licensure in the State of Washington Initial certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants For All Providers: Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals is required at time of hire and to be maintained continuously throughout employment. American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will also be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Professionals. Some clinical locations may require American Heart Association Pediatric Life Support training and continuous maintenance of certification. Active clinical privileges as an Allied Health Provider at Seattle Children's Hospital must be secured prior to time of hire and must be maintained in good standing and in compliance with all medical staff bylaws, continuously throughout employment. We also have a variety of spaces, including a children's play garden, rain gardens, a fully planted roof garden, a wildflower meadow, natural areas, green roofs, beds with mixed perennials and grasses, and numerous trees. The spaces we take care of are appreciated and enjoyed by patients, families, and staff, who may be experiencing very difficult situations, so it can be a truly fulfilling place to work in horticulture. This position will be responsible for performing skilled gardening work and maintaining exterior hardscapes with minimal direct supervision to keep properties clean, safe, and attractive. In an assigned area of up to 10 acres, under general supervision, function independently and be held accountable for overall management and work performed. Protects and maintains a secure environment by enforcing rules and regulations to provide for the safety of personnel, patients, visitors and the property. Protects staff, patients, and property by intervening with physical intervention if patient begins to act out and/or present danger to staff, patients, self or property. This role is a key safety component in the security department's efforts to deter, detect, prevent, respond, and document concerns or incidents that risk the safety and well-being of patients, families, visitors, workforce members, and property by utilizing appropriate protocols, emergency response procedures, and/or non-violent crisis intervention methods. This individual will respond, support, mitigate, de-escalate and document all security incidents or service requests on the unit.     Assist the clinical dietitians and the dietary department in the provision of medical nutrition therapy appropriate to the age-related needs of patients across the continuum of care. Supervise modified menu and formula processing. Screen patients for nutritional risk using established guidelines and initiate dietitian referrals for nutrition assessment. Follow up for moderate and low risk patients. Obtain, evaluate, and utilize dietary history information to plan nutritional care. Calculate nutritional intake analysis. Institute basic nutrition plans including individualized menu plans and monitor intake and acceptance of meals, snacks and supplements.Required Education and Experience Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition or Clinical Dietetics, OR Associate of Arts Degree in Dietetic Technology and required Registration with Commission on Dietetic Registration. Required Credentials Registration with Commission on Dietetic Registration (for Associate of Arts Degree). Washington State Food and Beverage Service Worker's Permit. Preferred Pediatric or previous hospital experience. Compensation Range $24.77 - $37.16 per hour Salary Information This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year).
