We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Child Protection Team. This part-time position involves both independent and team-based clinical practice and consultation in the evaluation and management of pediatric patients referred for possible child abuse and neglect. This role potentially includes scheduled weekend and holiday coverage.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform clinical assessments of children suspected of being victims of abuse or neglect in ambulatory, emergency, and inpatient settings.
Obtain medical histories, conduct physical examinations, and document findings appropriately.
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests; develop and implement treatment plans.
Provide expert consultation via telephone, video conferencing, or electronic communication to Child Protective Services and healthcare providers.
Assess risk and make recommendations based on clinical data, social history, and collateral information.
Collaborate closely with physicians, social workers, CPS, law enforcement, and other multidisciplinary professionals.
Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and documentation for legal or investigative proceedings.
Contribute to quality improvement and educational initiatives related to child protection.
Required Education and Experience:
Master's degree in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nurse practitioner program OR graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant program.
One year work experience in a pediatric or family focused clinical area.
Required Credentials:
For Nurse Practitioners:
Active, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington.
Current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner
For Physician Assistants:
Active, unencumbered physician assistant licensure in the State of Washington
Initial certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
For All Providers:
Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals is required at time of hire and to be maintained continuously throughout employment. American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will also be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Professionals.
Some clinical locations may require American Heart Association Pediatric Life Support training and continuous maintenance of certification.
Active clinical privileges as an Allied Health Provider at Seattle Children's Hospital must be secured prior to time of hire and must be maintained in good standing and in compliance with all medical staff bylaws, continuously throughout employment.
Any and all medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children's will terminate automatically upon the termination of the individual's employment at Children's. Termination of employment does not prohibit the individual from seeking medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children's as a non-employee in any category for which the individual qualifies. Our collection comprises over 3,000 plant species, including many rare and uncommon plants, making it an engaging environment in which to work and study. We also have a variety of spaces, including a children's play garden, rain gardens, a fully planted roof garden, a wildflower meadow, natural areas, green roofs, beds with mixed perennials and grasses, and numerous trees. The spaces we take care of are appreciated and enjoyed by patients, families, and staff, who may be experiencing very difficult situations, so it can be a truly fulfilling place to work in horticulture.
This position will be responsible for performing skilled gardening work and maintaining exterior hardscapes with minimal direct supervision to keep properties clean, safe, and attractive. In an assigned area of up to 10 acres, under general supervision, function independently and be held accountable for overall management and work performed. Coordinate and collaborate with other team members on larger projects. Work is performed year-round, outdoors, in all types of weather at the main campus of Seattle Children's Hospital and at various clinical and non-clinical sites as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent experience.
A minimum of two (2) years of practical groundskeeping or landscaping experience in a public or institutional environment.

Direct oversight of Radiology Technologists and maintains the technical aspects of radiology services. Functions as a liaison between physicians and technologists and support staff. Job Description
Responsible to plan, design and execute research development activities in support of funded research projects. Design approaches or hypotheses to be tested and methodology to be used; design specific phases of research projects.

Works closely with principal investigator on the development of technical proposals, presentations manuscripts and grants. Plans and conducts work requiring independent judgment in the evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Maintain accurate documentation; ensure protocols are available to research team members. Uses a wide application of complex principles, theories and concepts in specific scientific discipline. Able to guide technical staff and provide training in protocols and laboratory techniques in BSL2 and BSL3 settings. Under the direction of the Security leadership team and guidance of PBMU nursing leadership, the Security Specialist is the primary responder for all safety concerns in the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit (PBMU), both individually and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
This individual interacts with patients experiencing behavioral or mental health crisis to decrease the emotional, physical and mental stress levels of a situation using verbal and non-verbal de-escalation techniques and if necessary, utilizing Crisis Prevention Institute physical techniques to bring the patient exhibiting aggressive behavior under control for further therapeutic clinical intervention. They provide safety and security to patients, healthcare workers and the unit by responding to situations to de-escalate crisis situations. Protects and maintains a secure environment by enforcing rules and regulations to provide for the safety of personnel, patients, visitors and the property.
Protects staff, patients, and property by intervening with physical intervention if patient begins to act out and/or present danger to staff, patients, self or property. This role is a key safety component in the security department's efforts to deter, detect, prevent, respond, and document concerns or incidents that risk the safety and well-being of patients, families, visitors, workforce members, and property by utilizing appropriate protocols, emergency response procedures, and/or non-violent crisis intervention methods.
This individual will respond, support, mitigate, de-escalate and document all security incidents or service requests on the unit. Individuals in this position are responsible for identifying, documenting, communicating, and mitigating and de-escalating safety and risk issues that may impact the ability of PBMU to provide environmental safety and care to patients, families, and staff.
Individuals in this position respond to situations that include but are not limited to code response, safety escorts, belongings and room searches, fire emergencies, hazardous spills, disaster response, medical emergencies, safety support, missing child, active shooter, bomb threats, individuals under distress or escalated, unauthorized persons on Seattle Children's property or buildings occupied by Seattle Children's workforce members with intentions to commit crimes such as vandalism, theft, and assault.

Current Washington State licensure to practice nursing. At time of hire: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers is required for all positions. As a condition of employment: Current BLS for Health Care Providers is to be maintained at all times by all nurses.
Preferred
Master's Degree in Nursing. At least five (5) years research experience. Prior experience in assigned clinical research specialty area. Completion of the Ethics Course recognized by Seattle Children's IRB.
