There may be more than one opening on this posting. Job Summary Prepares for and performs standard x-ray examinations and may perform fluoroscopic procedures. Performs portable examinations and may perform surgical x-ray procedures. Utilizes proper positioning and selection of appropriate technical factors using various radiographic equipment to obtain optimal results. Essential Functions * Prepare, supply, and equip exam room to meet the needs of requested examinations and to meet specific physician requirements for procedures. * Organizes daily work schedule and performs related clerical duties as required. * Integrates previous imaging studies, laboratory results, patient history and medical records to optimize exam. * Perform most appropriate examination based on patient information through consultation with interpreting physician and/or ordering physician as necessary. * Provides patient education and instruction prior to and after examination. Provide training/education to staff and students as indicated. * Demonstrates ability to adapt exam to address problems of patient care as they arise making decisions to appropriately resolve problems. * Performs x-ray examinations applying appropriate infection control and radiation safety measures. * Applies ALARA principle to ensure appropriate radiation safety for self patient, and visitor. Your duties will focus on quality interaction and technical excellence: + **Be the Patient's Guide:** Provide clear, supportive education to patients both before and after their CT or X-ray exam. Ensure they understand the process and feel safe. + **Perform High-Quality Exams:** Independently conduct a wide variety of diagnostic CT and X-ray studies using approved protocols and advanced equipment. + **Prioritize Safety:** Apply the ALARA principle to ensure the lowest necessary radiation dose for every patient and yourself. Screen patients for pregnancy as required. + **Leverage Your Expertise:** Integrate the patient's prior imaging results, lab work, and medical history to select and perform the most accurate and appropriate exam. + **Use Your Autonomy:** Confidently perform all CT and X-ray responsibilities independently. When complex questions or patient care concerns arise, consult virtually with the interpreting Provider. + **Manage the Exam Process:** Collect and document all necessary patient history and order information precisely. Operate all equipment (CT, X-ray console) for data acquisition and image documentation. **Qualifications & Credentials** + **Education:** Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology (Required). + **Experience:** Minimum of 1 year of previous experience (Preferred). Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific principles, venipuncture competency, and PACS/RIS knowledge (Required). EPIC RIS, FUJI, and IntelliSpace PACS experience (Preferred). + **Credentials:** + ARRT - Radiography (Required) + Radiology Technologist - Washington State Licensure (Required Upon Hire) + Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire) + ARRT-CT (Required within 6 months of hire) **We Value Your Time Off!** We know that maximizing your time away from work is important.
