Responsibilities: Perform full inspections and repairs on used vehicles including, transmission, engine, electronic diagnosis, wheel and tire. Inspect belts and filters and check air levels and gauges Write up service reports Communicate with the service manager to obtain needed parts for service repairs Road test vehicles when required to quality check work performed Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership. Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment. Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc. Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs. Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications. Qualifications: Previous experience at an automotive dealership. High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent customer service skills. Basic computer competencies. Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality. Team player with ability to collaborate with others effectively. Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications. Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment. Maintain proficiency with commercial patent searching databases and other proprietary databases of technical publications. Stay abreast of best practices and changes to search procedures via self directed review of materials provided by Clarivate. Maintain consistent timeliness and superior quality of deliverables.
