We are looking for a Part-Time Welder with proven experience in stick welding (SMAW) stainless steel repair work. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable of working independently on small-scale fabrication and repair projects. This is a hands-on role that requires accuracy, cleanliness, and an understanding of stainless steel welding techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform stick welding (SMAW) on stainless steel surfaces and components.
Carry out repairs on stainless steel fixtures, baskets, and other components used in the production process in a “benchtop” welding room.
Prepare surfaces for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and aligning components.
Use hand tools, grinders, and measuring instruments with precision.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Adhere strictly to welding and shop safety protocols.
Complete jobs efficiently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in stick welding stainless steel (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
Knowledge of stainless steel welding properties, distortion control, and finish quality.
Welding certification(s) a plus but not required.
Ability to interpret repair instructions.
High attention to detail and quality finish.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks safely.

Schedule: Part-time; 2-3 days per week, flexible hours, 10-20 hours/week

Job Description:
Works from blueprints, work orders, and verbal instructions to produce high quality welds from a variety of exotic metals. May program, set up and operate robotic welding machines.
Responsibilities:
Welds metal components to fabricate products, parts or equipment.
Repairs products of parts by straightening or reshaping with or without the use of heat and/or hydraulic equipment.
Achieve or surpass routed standards.
Calculate side lengths and/or angles using trigonometric charts and tables.
Figure flat layout, setup and operate various equipment to form sheet, plate and structural shapes to produce properly sized material.
Qualifications:
3-5 years experience in MIG & TIG welding of carbon steel, stainless, Inconel and aluminum.

Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with robotic weld machines is a plus.
