We are currently seeking a Main Floor Operator position and a General Cleaner position at a manufacturing plant in Des Moines, IA. Job duties include, but are not limited to running a sweeper/scrubber to clean factory floors, using a forklift to pick up trash hampers and doing the recycling in the plant. Also, applicants will be doing some scrubbing and floor scraping by hand. Must have driving knowledge, Be able to work in a highly dusty environment and be able to work in hot and cold conditions. Applicant must be reliable and have an eye for detail. The position will include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, a lot of walking and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Under the direction of the Specialist, the Second Operator, will have basic operating skills of one or more types of equipment as well as direct a machine crew.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Set up, adjust and operate printing and/or finishing machines.
Direct crew working on the machine.
Consult with Specialist about scheduled production. Plan the most efficient methods of completing work assignments.
Understand mailing regulations.
Assist in positioning and moving material for setups and printing and/or finishing operations.
Notify Production Specialist of low inventory levels.
Assist in the training of general laborers.
Assist other shop personnel with various duties or rush orders in order to meet production schedules.
Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
Full-time positions are available on the following shifts:
12 hour shifts 7pm - 7am 4 or 3 day / night work weeks

The purpose of the Precook Packaging Op. (Floor Walker) is to help pack finished high quality frozen egg products in cases according to customer specifications. The Floor Walker picks off defective egg products that do not meet customer specifications, keep floors clean and orderly at all times.

- Keep floors clean and orderly at all times.
- Give packers breaks in a timely manner.
- Document seconds and rework accurately.
- Clear jams on the tapers and conveyors.
- Maintain foot cleaners/scrubbers and sanitize inedible conveyors in a timely manner.
- Assist on the packing lines as needed by sorting and packing frozen egg products according to customer specifications.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely.
