General Medical Requirements: As determined by OPM the duties of this position require moderate to arduous physical exertion involving walking and standing, use of firearms, and exposure to inclement weather. Manual dexterity with comparatively free motion of fingers, wrist, elbows, shoulders, hips and knee joints is required. Arms, hands, legs and feet must function sufficiently in order for applicants to perform the duties satisfactorily. Additional information * Recruitment Incentive: Applicants may be eligible for a $40,000 recruitment incentive in accordance with regulatory requirements. The first installment of $15,000 will be paid following successful completion of Secret Service Criminal Investigator training. A second installment of $10,000 will be paid following one year of service post training and an acceptable performance rating. The final installment of $15,000 will be paid after a third year of service post training and an acceptable performance rating. Provision of these payments require the execution of a three-year Continued Service Agreement (CSA) with the agency. Newly hired employees who resign from the USSS prior to the expiration of the CSA will be required to repay the recruitment incentive. (NOTE: Eligibility is limited to "Newly appointed" Federal employees as defined by 5 CFR 575.102). Must be able to obtain upon appointment and maintain Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) Investigative Agent Certification. Must possess a valid State of Ohio Driver's License and acceptable driving record as stipulated by the Board's insurance carrier. Physical Requirements: Sedentary work strength level. Uses the DODD Ohio Information Tracking and Monitoring System to report all Major Unusual Incidents to DODD; completes required follow-up reports to DODD. Provides testimony, affidavits, and depositions on behalf of DCBDD at administrative hearings and Court proceedings regarding incidents and investigations. Accurately completes and maintains all paperwork within the prescribed timelines related to Major Unusual Incidents; monitors and ensures proper implementation of plans of correction are completed. As outlined in OAC 5123-17-02, prepares for and schedules a trends and pattern review committee comprised of county board staff, providers, people who receive services and their families, and other stakeholders to review and analyze data for the preceding calendar year. If the committee identifies action needed by the county board, the IAs will follow up on those recommendations. Provides training to DCBDD staff annually and to the Board as requested. Participates in Medicaid Administrative Claiming. Regular attendance, as governed by and in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, procedures and laws, is regarded as an essential requirement of this classification. Adheres to all ORC, OAC, and DCBDD policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned which do not conflict with the role of Investigative Agent.
