The role's overall responsibility is to coordinate and enhance the execution of security and compliance testing processes. This role's primary function is to to consult, coordinate, and facilitate, prepare and execute application security testing.
Job Details:

Responsibilities:- Define and enhance capabilities to support security testing- Coordinate the execution of the testing processes annually which includes a combination of required testing, recurring business as usual testing, and unscheduled ad hoc testing- Perform activities to facilitate security testing, including coordinating and convening stakeholders, setting timelines, establishing testing requirements, setting expectations, and resolving questions and roadblocks during the testing process- Perform activities to facilitate remediation planning with stakeholders to reach agreement and commitment to remediation plans- Enter documented remediation plans into the enterprise security issues tracker- Provide reporting and metrics on the security testing process for regular consumption by security leadership- Provide guidance, real-time feedback, and annual performance reviews to direct reports

Qualifications: - Bachelors in Computer or Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management, Information Science or a related technical field - 5+ years of overall work experience - 3+ years of experience working in information security or information technology roles - Knowledge of project management approaches and coordination of short and medium duration projects - Knowledge of vulnerability management related to Infrastructure, Applications, and Networking - Experience developing, implementing, and leading service-oriented security testing programs - Demonstrated ability to interact with business and technical audiences across all levels of an organization - Security knowledge across multiple security domains and technologies (e.g., operating systems, databases, networking, applications, identity and access management) - Knowledge of and experience working in Windows and Linux environments - Experience designing and engineering operational processes - Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects with competing priorities - Demonstrated ability to maintain calm and focus during time-constrained situations

Certifications: - Possession of industry certifications highly preferred including, but not limited to, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), - Possession of project management certifications highly preferred including, but not limited to, Project Management Professional (PMP)"

Accomplished cyber security professional with demonstrated success in securing initial business as well as grow new business opportunities. The Cyber Security Advisor combines technical knowledge with sales skills and applies practical information security experience to address the specific needs of the client. As a partner to the client executive you will build relationships that solidify Optiv as the primary security solution provider.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Information Systems, Information System Technologies, Management Information Systems)
• 5+ years IT security and/or IT consulting experience including administration or analysis of network and system security related technologies, performing periodic network security reviews and assessments, reviewing information security policies and procedures, etc.
• 5+ years consulting experience including interfacing and servicing clients, managing and budgeting time and expenses, working in project-oriented environments with deadlines and milestones, making presentations to management, etc.
• One of more professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, QSA, GSEC, GIAC, CEH, CPT
• PCI-QSA and CMMC-RP a plus
• Must be willing to travel up to 60%
• Strong oral and written communication skills, strong influencing skills, experience in presenting to medium to small audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• A career profile that will enable the candidate to be a credible security advisor to C-level executives
• 4+ years of experience and direct responsibility for developing security strategies for companies and/or governments in a consulting or internal security department capability

• Deep understanding of security controls at the systems, network, and application level; strong knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2/3 audit, FedRamp, HIPPA, GDPR, PCI, CMMC and risk management experience
• Broad information security competency, covering access control, network security, SDLC, cryptography, key management, hardware security modules, security architecture and design, operations security, legal/risk/compliance, and physical security
• Experienced and credible communicator who can cast security in the language of the business, discussing best practices and security strategy with C-level executives and senior representatives
• Deep and broad knowledge of security issues and trends, able to articulate the high-level security strategy to both technical ands non-technical audiences
• Participate on pre-sales and project scoping calls to help promote consulting services and close opportunities.
• Expert knowledge on cyber threats, regulations, and emerging security technologies

Duties/Responsibilities:

The consultant will be responsible for the following in the delivery of consulting services:

• Perform various onsite and remote assessments of customer's environment
• Perform compliance and gap assessment reviews against know compliance and regulatory frameworks.
• Provide strategic guidance and roadmaps for strengthening customer cyber programs
• Perform risk assessments and risk remediation strategies
• Review network design and architecture
• Develop information security policies and procedures
• Perform IT controls audits and reviews
• Develop and present formal reports and deliverables to the client
• Develop formal reports/deliverables which includes detailing project objectives, scope, methodology, specific findings, support for findings, and recommendations
• Serve as a strategic cyber advisor and interact with clients of various backgrounds to maintain positive client relationships
• Present project deliverables to client management and explaining findings and recommendations outlined in the deliverables
• Work and manage time independently
