Securities analyst job description

The IT Security Analyst position is responsible for analysis and remediation of cyber security events in adherence to our incident response plan protecting Red Robins customers and associates against cyber threats. The Analyst will also maintain the policies and configurations of our security platforms to make sure that they are meeting requirements and standards to protect our information systems and data of our customers and associates.
Essential Functions:
Perform incident response to include analysis, investigation and forensic activities.Day-to-day coordination and collaboration with IT and other business units.Participate in the project process to drive improvement of core security controls Monitor, manage and tune core security controls Develop and deliver required metrics and reports Develop process and procedure documentation for core security controls

Qualifications:
3-5 years of information security experience across multiple technologies domains:
Network Security, Host/Endpoint Security, SIEM, Data Security, Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, Application Security
Excellent technical aptitude, resourcefulness, and critical thinking skills Ability to identify security risks and weaknesses and provide security mitigation and remediation recommendations Ability to think strategically with strong attention to detail Understanding of information risk management frameworks, regulations, data protection guidelines and standards Demonstrated success leveraging SIEM and log management platforms to perform complex security analysis Experience with IOC and threat feed collection, analysis and implementation within a corporate security control ecosystem Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience required Security+, GSEC, GCIH, or other relevant information security industry recognized certification preferred

Compensation Range: $73,700.00 - $101,375.00

Come join our Burlington Team as a Security Analyst II! In this role you will support the Burlington Information Security Program on the Security Operations Team. You will be responsible for monitoring and investigating security events and challenged to improve the response process. As successful candidate, you will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex ideas.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:


Investigate, and respond to security alerts, leverage security platforms for the identification of security events; triage and escalate security incidents. Develop new use cases to detect threats across multiple environments including network, endpoint and applications. Analyze threats posed to various systems, technologies, or operations. Identify relationships, trends, and patterns of security events. Develop impactful risk and threat metrics and provide investigation reports. Improve Security Operations through automation and technical controls. Identify, design, and implement improvements to current programs/procedures. Stay up to date with current security vulnerabilities and attacks Automate response and remediation of security events. Rotational on call is required for incident response.


Experience:


4+ years of experience working in Information Technology with at least 1 year focused on Security. Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK TT&P and Lockheed Martin Cyber Kill Chain. Ability to think strategically and effectively convey complex ideas. Ambition to recognize and address challenges. Strong organizational and communication skills. A passion for technology and personal development. A keen eye for detail. Security Certifications preferred but not required.

Minimum qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

+ 2 years of experience in Web Security, Risk Analytics, Anti-abuse, Fraud Detection/Prevention, Data Analytics, or Data Science.
