The City of Cody is currently accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for future hiring with the Cody Police Department. The primary duties include traffic patrol, crime investigation, service call response, and public safety within the community.
Graduation from high school or a GED is required. Wyoming P.O.S.T. certification is desired, and a valid driver's license is required. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
The starting salary is dependent upon certification and ranges from $64,501 - $72,596 (dependent upon certification), plus the City's benefit package, which includes vacation, sick leave accrual, holiday pay, health insurance, and participation in the Wyoming Retirement Program. Applicants with no previous experience will attend the 13-week Police Officer Academy in Douglas, WY. Following completion of the Academy, the officer will be required to complete the department's 12-week Field Training Program. Successful lateral transfer candidates with previous experience will attend a two-week Criminal Law Course at the Academy in Casper, WY, and the length of their Field Training Program will be dependent (in part) to their level of previous law enforcement experience.

Answer housing-related phone calls and assist students and staff as needed
Report maintenance or safety issues promptly to ensure timely resolution
Assist with campus registration, housing check-in, and Student Life events
Support down-week operations, including cleaning, room assignments, and general assistance
Requirements:
Qualifications (A combination of the following experience and training, or the equivalent, would be qualifying):
Be solution-oriented, resourceful, and proactive with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Advanced ability to work independently and must be able to organize and demonstrate initiative.

Minimum Requirement
High school diploma or equivalent from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Experience in Safety and Security in any capacity, with preference to experience at a higher education learning institution.
Current Driver's License.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsible for maintaining close, continuous surveillance of all gaming areas and the entire property, in order to protect life and property.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Monitors all areas of property at all times, identifying potential security and/or safety risks and reporting same to the appropriate individual or entity, for proper resolution.
Utilizes necessary equipment, to identify, record, document and report illegal, suspicious or unusual activities occurring on property.
Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, and ensures strict adherence to same throughout the property.
Protects company assets and gaming integrity, through the consistent, thorough monitoring of all activities on property, particularly on the gaming floor.
Completes Daily Reports.
Supports other Employees, Supervisors and Executives within the company, with regard to protection of assets in their respective departments.
Maintains or augments skills through review and self-study.
Coordinates, with the Security Department, when Surveillance discovers a matter which needs further investigation or attention.
Facilitates the flow of information throughout the department, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
Makes suggestions and recommendations, as appropriate, with regard to possible changes in the policies and procedures of other departments, with the protections of company assets in mind.
Responsible for reviewing all Title 31 documentation in assigned area, monitors all cash movement and reports all suspicious activity to Title 31/Credit Department immediately.
Follow and understand the Surveillance Operating Procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of, and experience with, closed circuit television equipment preferred.
Must possess excellent observational and communication skills.
Ability to detect cheating activity aimed at the company or its' guests preferred.
Must have good hand-eye coordination.
Must possess excellent computer and typing skills.
Must attend Title 31 Training Class and receive a passing score on the testing.
Must be able to possess a valid license from the Gaming Commission.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
