Under limited supervision, the Security Officer provides security and protection of work site(s), personnel and assets at the assigned job site. Enforces safety measures, performs regular patrols of assigned premises, and responds to incidents based on established operational procedures. What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism throughout.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to established protocols.
Monitor access points, checking for proper identification and controlling entry and exit as required by site procedures.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while upholding Allied Universal standards.
Remain alert and aware of surroundings to help to deter potential risks within the tech, media, or telecom environment.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Security Officer Responsibilities:
Access Control
Investigate and report maintenance and safety conditions that may endanger the client, its associates, or public safety
Patrols are assigned on foot to maintain visibility and observe possible unusual activities at client facilities
Theft and vandalism deterrent
Ensure the client, its associates, and facility personnel are provided with a safe and professional work environment
Ensure that daily administrative documentation is always kept concise and complete
Uniform attire and grooming standards must be maintained while in uniform
Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications and skills:
Minimum 18 years of age
Basic computer skills and report-writing experience
Available to work shifts during nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Must be able to handle stressful situations and emergencies
