Hiring Security Dispatchers - All Shifts (7a-3p, 3p-11p, and 11p-7a)
Part Time, Full Time, and FLEX positions

Rate will be commensurate with experience starting at $17.00 per hour.

We are hiring a Security/Emergency Services Dispatcher for our gated retirement community. This position dispatches emergency and routine calls for service as well as develops relationships with residents and visitors, providing personalized customer service and hospitality that exceeds expectations.

How you will make an impact:
Track all pertinent information during your shift, and initiate the first level of the incident report for Security and Emergency Services Officer completion Monitor the Emergency Call System for independent living Track the status of residents involved in emergency situations Monitor Fire Alarm SystemDispatch ambulance, private ambulances, or 911 as needed Provide assistance to other departments, as needed

What you will need:
High school diploma or GED required Prior experience in 911 call-taking/dispatching or Emergency Medical Services (preferred) Ability to maintain composure, deal calmly with emergencies and ambiguity, and to learn quickly when facing new problems. Must have situational awareness Ability to communicate calmly with Residents, visitors, and all levels of staff; act in a reassuring manner and adept at diplomacy and tact while displaying good judgment

**Job Summary**

Assigns drivers and vehicles to convey freight or passengers. Coordinates drivers according to customer requests and in compliance with DOT regulations and company rules. Communicates with customers to determine driver demand and driving schedules. Notifies drivers of assignments and enters assignment data into a computer database. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

**Requirements**

High school diploma or equivalent with 6 months of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

What will you do (responsibilities)?

Since CBI is the largest regional security company in Utah, you will be a vital link to smooth, efficient and effective operations. However, in general you will be responsible for:

• Responding to phone calls from a wide variety of team members and customers, as well as law enforcement and emergency personnel with professionalism and respect.
• Interface effectively with team members and customers, vital information on issues and schedules.
• Accomplish data entry responsibilities for scheduling, call offs and message distribution
• Detailing an accurate record of daily activities which transpire on sites and in the corporate office. These records might include damage to property or equipment, theft, trespassing or other unusual /irregular activities.
• Enable the success and safety of security officers and patrol officers in the field through hourly security checks.

What do we require to hire?

• Must be 18 years or older
• Weekend and Grave shift (11pm-7am) availability
• Need to be able to pass drug and background check
• Proficient and clear ability to use computers and handle multiple software applications as well as on tablets and smartphones.
• Adept in Microsoft Office a big plus.
• Must be able to exercise good judgment/decisions and practice appropriate grooming standards
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Type 40+ words per minute.
