We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Analysts to join our team at Offutt Air Force Base (AFB), supporting the 55th Wing (55 WG). The Cyber Analyst will play a critical role in cryptologic support, cybersecurity operations, and system administration to protect mission-critical systems and networks. This position requires expertise in cyber threat analysis, cryptologic operations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform cryptologic support and cybersecurity operations to safeguard sensitive information and mission-critical systems.
Conduct cyber threat analysis to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
Support the development and implementation of cyber defense measures to protect against emerging threats.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Required Experience: At least 6 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or have associate's degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 4 years of related experience, for a total of 10 years, as a substitute to the bachelor's
degree.
Technical Expertise:

The Security Systems Analyst is a key member of Scoular's Security Risk Management team and is responsible for hands-on execution of core cybersecurity operations. This role focuses on SIEM management, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, incident response, email monitoring, and Tier 1 security support across Scoular's enterprise environment. The analyst assists with onboarding log sources, tuning alerts, monitoring security events, performing initial investigations, supporting remediation activities, and other project work.
The Security Systems Analyst partners closely with Infrastructure and IT Operations teams to ensure secure operation of systems across on-premise and cloud environments. The role reports to the Lead SecurityEngineer and requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, excellent documentation habits, and the ability to collaborate effectively while continuously learning.
This position can be located in Scoular's Omaha, NE or Overland Park, KS offices.
Job Functions
Security Operations & Monitoring
* Monitor SIEM dashboards and alerts to detect suspicious activity and respond to incidents following established playbooks.
* Perform Tier 1-level incident triage and escalate to senior team members as needed.
* Assist with onboarding log sources, validating data quality, and tuning SIEM alerts and dashboards.
* Support endpoint protection technologies (EDR/XDR) including Defender and CrowdStrike.
* Monitor and manage Microsoft email quarantine.
Vulnerability Management
* Perform routine vulnerability scans, validate results, track remediation progress, and coordinate with system owners.

* Assist Infrastructure team with basic troubleshooting related to firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, and secure network design.
* Monitor network traffic and alerts for indicators of compromise.
Cloud Security (Azure)
* Help review configuration of cloud resources for security compliance.
* Assist in monitoring cloud logs and security insights via Azure and SIEM tools.
Policy, Compliance & Documentation
* Contribute to security policies, standards, procedures, and knowledgebase documentation.
* Participate in internal reviews aligned with frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS, ISO Controls, or ITIL.
* Maintain precise documentation for incidents, investigations, and system changes.
Architecture & Project Participation
* Participate in security reviews of new systems or architecture changes with guidance from senior team members.
* Support security projects including tool deployments, enhancements, and operational improvements.
* Coordinate with vendors, support POCs, and assist with testing new security technologies.
Cross‑Team Collaboration
* Work daily with Infrastructure, Service Desk, and other IT teams to investigate issues and implement security recommendations.
* Provide clear communication to business units and end users when security remediation or follow-up is needed.

* 2-5 years experience in cybersecurity, IT operations, or technical security support.

• Normally receives minimal instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments.
• Participate in Architecture design reviews and other technical governance forums across the organization representing the security team across multiple projects.
• Be on call and available after business hours, would require working Holidays and weekends if major security incident occurs.

Qualifications
• Degree in Cyber Security, Management Information Systems, Information Security or equivalent work experience
o Minimum 2 years prior experience in a Cyber Security
• In depth knowledge of LogRhythm SIEM platform or other SIEM platforms, which includes configuring and maintaining API integrations and source feeds, alerts and alarms
• In depth knowledge in Qualys Vulnerability Management System, which includes configuring and maintaining
• In depth knowledge in Cisco AMP Anti-Virus software, which includes configuring and maintaining
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001 standards.
• Strong technical acumen with a solid understanding of security technologies and network architecture
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Independent driver of self-development and continuous learning
• Knowledge of information security technology, design, research techniques, administration, operating standards, and quality control methods.
• Basic understanding of LAN/WAN technologies and protocols, FTP, Active Directory, VPN technologies (MPLS, IPSEC, etc.), IIS and other network services.

POSITION OVERVIEW: This position is responsible for integrated security system design and review of system functionality to determine proper operation of access control, IP video and other security systems and controls. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Technical 2 year degree or better and/or 3-5 years of security industry design experience
* Experience engineering low voltage systems, preferably experience with AV, DAS and/or Structured Cabling as well.
* Certification in 2 Access Control platforms or equivalent documented experience
* Certification in 2 Video Management platforms or equivalent documented experience
* Certification in 1 Intrusion platform or equivalent documented experience
* Knowledge of NEC Code and low voltage systems
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized business systems
* Ability to pass pre-employment screening
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Certification in Networking and/or SQL.
