Your duties in the role include (but are not limited to):
· Prevent all unauthorized access by enforcing all Client and PGI policies including implementing and enforcing badging policies, controlling physical locks and keys, and inspecting persons and equipment.
· Perform testing and other inspection services related to access control including performing routine inspections and testing of alarms, locks, doors, monitoring systems and other access control mechanisms.
· Develop, maintain, and continuously improve knowledge of written and oral post orders, policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
· Provide security protection for all Client and PGI personnel and property within the assigned area of responsibility.
· Report or respond to incidents, security, and safety concerns in accordance with established post orders.
· Respond to alarms in accordance with established post orders.
· Monitor security camera and other electronic surveillance systems.
· Guide, follow and direct individuals throughout the Site.
· Assist in controlling physical and electronic locks and unlocking and locking doors and areas.
· Prevent theft of physical or intellectual property.
· Assist in promoting communication and awareness of data center security policies to client employees, vendors, contractors, and others.
· Provide mail delivery and package receipt services if required.
· Maintain standards of Security Officer competency, conduct, appearance, and integrity, including compliance with PGI and the Client's Code of Conduct and Uniform Policy.
· Execute and deliver various reports as assigned by the Site Manager.
· You will complete and maintain pre-assignment, client, State, and PGI sustainment training as directed.
· Assist in collateral duties including but not limited to armory and security equipment maintenance tasks.
· This position has ongoing training requirements, many of them to be completed in an online environment.

Required Qualifications:
· A minimum of one (1) year of security, or one year of local, state, or federal law enforcement experience; or minimum of two (2) years of honorable military service, active or reserve, in any branch of the US Armed Forces; or other relevant experience.
· A minimum of 21 years of age
· Ability to complete a security officer training course and conduct regularly scheduled sustainment training.
· Must have reliable transportation during all seasons.
· Firm grasp on the use and implementation of technology, programs, and applications on data bearing devices.
· Strong ability to learn modern technology systems and programs. Ability to troubleshoot and work through user level issues with technology platforms and applications.
· Ability to demonstrate professional communication via verbal, written, and email correspondence in English.
· Must have High School diploma or GED.

Qualifications:
Minimum 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.
Valid Denver Guard Card (Unarmed) compliance with local and state licensing laws required.
Minimum 2 years of professional security experience, preferably in government, healthcare, or institutional environments.
No felony or misdemeanor convictions related to drugs, weapons, theft, or violence within the last 10 years.
Must successfully pass the relevant background check prior to assignment.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, document incidents accurately, and follow SOPs precisely.
Strong de-escalation and conflict management skills.
Ability to perform foot patrols, maintain logs, and remain on post for extended periods (up to 10 consecutive hours).
Professional appearance, grooming, and adherence to the clients conduct standards required.
Must complete OSHA safety and fire prevention training.

Working Environment

Dynamic Posture: Must respond to first aid/medical assist calls, perform CPR. Forward bend to reach a point (1 from floor) 1 x 5 min
Specific vision abilities required by this job include correction to 20/30 vision, close vision, distance vision, night vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Must also possess the ability to hear, for safety reasons inherent to the essential functions of the job. Must maintain fitness standards to ensure the ability to physically apprehend and detain suspects, provide emergency and protective services, and conduct other physically demanding assignments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and run, climb stairs and must routinely lift and/or move 50 pounds. During emergencies this position may be required to move incapacitated individuals away from dangerous circumstances.
Work Schedule
Non-exempt position; 40-hour week. Varied hours during a 24/7 work week. Campus Safety Officers assigned to Patrol Operations participate in a seniority-based shift bid and may be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
