These positions provide a safe and secure environment for the DSU campus community; makes referrals to local police agencies; secures medical assistance when needed; and reports all violations of the policies and procedures of Dickinson State University, North Dakota State Board of Higher Education, and applicable local, state, and federal laws. This position is directly involved with training and participating in safety and emergency management activities and exercises. Each shift will consist of approximately 80% patrolling the building and grounds. The Part-Time Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of persons including Lee College employees, students, guests of/and visitors to the campus; the protection of college property, including buildings, grounds, equipment and other assets of the college. The Part-Time Security Officer will provide assistance in emergency situations or conditions, and take action appropriate to the crisis situation within legal limits of the department's authority.
