Our Asset Protection Officers maintain a visible presence within our stores, often at the front of the store. This position includes both foot and vehicle patrols, as well as monitoring safety on Wegmans property. In this role you will be trained in conflict resolution and proper handling of medical emergency situations. Our officers are entrusted with finding the resources needed to address all safety and security concerns.
What will I do?
Maintain a highly visible profile including standing at the front door, and surveying the store and outside parking areas
Conduct employee and customer escorts as requested
Intervene and diffuse customer conflicts effectively
Inspect perimeter doors, windows and gates to maintain high levels of store security
Visibly observe customers and employees in an effort to deter undesirable activity in and around the store
Required Qualifications:
Police Officer/Deputy/Trooper experience working road patrol and/or United States Military Law Enforcement or Special Operations experience
Ability to participate in and complete any required specialized training
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain effective communication and composure in stressful situations
Proven ability to effectively manage conflict
Able to problem solve, anticipating, analyzing, and identifying opportunities, responding quickly when situations arise and preventing problems when possible
Technical aptitude and PC skills with Windows applications; must be able to navigate through multiple programs and screens efficiently
Valid driver's license

Job Responsibilities
Shift assignment(s) are made based on operational needs and subject to change - (see "Work Hours" for hours of operation)
The officer would be expected to perform routine security patrols, investigate reported and self-initiated complaints. Investigate and prepare reports on all incidents reported to security (criminal complaints, fire alarms, injuries, accidents and illnesses). Respond to emergency situations, assist with building evacuation and provide aid and assistance where needed. Assist with medical needs and call for/provide transportation to medical resources. Other routine duties include but are not limited to on-campus parking and traffic enforcement and control, enforce college regulations and lock and unlock campus buildings. What you will do: Grow in a fulfilling career as an Airport Employee Screener working alongside a team of aviation security professionals. You will use your outstanding customer service and critical-thinking skills while identifying and preventing unsafe objects from exiting the airport. Responsibilities specific to this role include, but are not limited to:
Conduct thorough and efficient screening of airport employees entering restricted areas.
Verify the identity and credentials of employees using established procedures.
Operate screening equipment, such as metal detectors to detect prohibited items.
Enforce security regulations and policies in a professional and courteous manner.
Monitor employee behavior and report any suspicious activities or violations.
Collaborate with airport authorities and law enforcement to address security concerns or incidents.
Provide clear and concise instructions to employees regarding the screening process.
Conduct property searches as part of the overall security strategy.
Respond promptly to alarms or alerts generated by screening equipment.
Maintain accurate records of screening activities and incidents.
What you will need:
Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National
Have an active NYS Security Guard License
Ability to work any shift including weekends and holidays (flexibility is key)
Ability to Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check
Ability to interact professionally with the public with a focus on customer service
Proven experience in security, screening, or a related field is preferred
Excellent observational and problem-solving skills

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to oversee and manage all aspects of our industrial security program in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other applicable government regulations. This role will serve as the primary liaison between our company and government security agencies, ensuring the protection of classified and controlled unclassified information and the integrity of our secure facilities.
The Industrial Security Specialist will serve as the primary company point of contact for all industrial security concerns and will provide security expertise, guidance, and advice to management and staff within the company. The candidate will be required to conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, implement administrative programs, and implement security measures and programs to meet all requirements. This position will serve as the Facility Security Officer(FSO).
Key Results Areas:
Level II: Service - Coordinating “production” with problem solving and prevention

Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and annual refresher training for cleared employees.
Oversee physical security measures including access control systems, alarm systems, and visitor management.
Prepare for and support government security inspections and audits (e.g., DSS, DCSA, BPMI, or other Government agencies).

Maintain accurate records of classified material, secure containers, and security equipment.

Qualifications:

Education and Training:

Thorough knowledge of NISPOM, DISS, NISS, NBIS, and other security platforms.
Completion of FSO certification training through CDSE or equivalent.
DoD FOCI-related security experience
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with COMSEC, OPSEC, and classified contract requirements is a plus.
