Eastern Florida State College is currently seeking applications for the part-time position of Security Officer at the Cocoa, Melbourne, Palm Bay and Titusville campuses. Salary & Benefit The hourly rate is $16.00. This position has been approved for up to 32 hours per week. Officers may be permitted to work more than their scheduled hours if funding is available and an operational need exits. Position Concept Ensure security and safety of EFSC students, faculty, staff, visitors, and physical facilities; enforce College policies and regulations on (Cocoa, Melbourne, Palm Bay, Titusville) Campus. This position is available through Lyneer Staffing Solutions; however, applicants are under the supervision of EFSC Security Dept. Minimum Qualifications The following minimum qualifications for this position must be met before any applicant will be considered: * High School Diploma or GED. * Valid Class D Security License from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services preferred, but not required. Selected candidates will be expected to obtain a Class D Security License from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services after being hired, at the discretion of the College. * Previous or current law enforcement, corrections, or Probation Officers are preferred. * Knowledge of legal guidelines for security and public safety. * Ethical, confident and dependable. * Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator's license. * This position will require successful fingerprinting and substance screening.
