This is a 24-hour County-owned Restorative Transformation Center (RTC), Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) (also referred to as RTC/MHRC) specializing in serving people who have been identified as being Incompetent to Stand Trial (IST) or are otherwise court ordered to treatment at this level of care. Services will be provided for a maximum of 30 residential beds, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (24/7). The 30 beds can be used for male and female clients interchangeably. A maximum of 20 beds are specific for IST consumers identified by Superior Court, Riverside Sheriff's Office (RSO), or Riverside University Health System - Behavioral Health (RUHS-BH) teams. Job DescriptionSalary: $18-$20 hour Job Title: Unarmed Security/ Patrol Officer Company: Blackwater Public Safety Status: Part-Time & Full-Time Positions Available Shifts Times: Shift 1: 5:00pm - 1:00am Shift 2: 10:00 PM 6:00 AM Shift 3: 9:00pm - 05:00am Position Summary: Blackwater Public Safety is currently seeking qualified and professional Unarmed Security Officers. This is a walking patrol post & vehicle usewhere officers must be physically capable of regular foot patrols throughout multi-level residential towers and communal spaces. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate strong communication skills, professional demeanor, and a proactive attitude to provide a visible deterrent and exceptional service to residents and guests. Key Responsibilities: Conduct frequent and thorough foot patrols of client properties (HOA, Residential) including common areas, stairwells, parking structures, and other critical zones. Utilize TrackTik software to complete required scan points and document all patrol activities and incidents. Respond promptly and professionally to calls for service and resident concerns. Maintain a visible and approachable presence to deter unauthorized activity and promote a sense of safety. Write clear and concise daily activity and incident reports. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or suspicious activity to appropriate site management or emergency services. Follow all post orders and company procedures at all times. Maintain a clean and professional uniform appearance and adhere to company grooming standards. Communicate effectively via radio, phone, or in-person with residents, management, and fellow team members. Minimum Qualifications: Must possess a valid and current California Guard Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Required . Must have clean driving record and provide DMV history report for review. Must be at least 18 years of age in accordance with California state law. High school diploma or GED Preferred but not required . Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and operate mobile technology for documentation. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in residential, high-rise, or concierge-style security. Familiarity with incident documentation and security reporting protocols. Customer service experience is a strong plus. Compensation & Benefits: Competitive hourly pay based on experience and shift assignment. Opportunities for overtime and advancement.
