POSITION SUMMARY
Patrol all areas of the property; assist guests with room access. Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and fire life safety system. Lock property entrances when required. Conduct daily physical hazard inspections. Respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required. Assist guests/employees during emergency situations. Notify appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents. Defuse guest/employee disturbances. Call for outside assistance if necessary. Complete incident reports to document all Security/Loss Prevention related incidents. Handle all interruptions and complaints. Resolve safety hazard situations. Escort any unwelcome persons from the property without interrupting the orderly flow of property operation. Report to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts. Call for assistance using proper code responses. Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report. Maintain confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports/documents; release information only to authorized individuals. Conduct investigations and gather evidence. Conduct interviews with relevant parties.
Follow all company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. This position supports the Industrial Security Unit (ISU) and serves as the liaison between the Contracting Office and the Department on security clearance requirements for classified contracts. The ISU is responsible for facilitating the contract vendor's Facility Security

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, formulate, and develop DHS-wide policies, standards, and procedures for the implementation and management of the DHS Industrial Security Program.
Advise top-level DHS officials and subject matter managers on developments and advances in personnel, contract, and industrial security programs.
Conduct security surveys, inspections, and compliance reviews in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, Presidential Directives, Executive Orders, interagency directives, and DHS and component policies.

Qualifications:

Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
Relevant experience shall include experience within one or more of the standard securities and/or intelligence fields e.g., technical, physical, information, industrial, personnel and operational security.
Subject matter expertise and hands-on experience in one or more security and/or intelligence discipline and experience implementing complex government security and/or intelligence programs and policies is preferable.
Must be highly organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills.

This role is responsible for implementing and administering all company security policies, procedures, and functions to assure compliance with applicable laws, government regulations, customer requirements and company policies. The FSO/ITPSO also supports internal customers, as needed, in developing innovative solutions to address the company's business needs.
You will maintain the security posture of the company's offices and facilities during all maintenance, repair, support, upgrade, and reconfiguration activities. In further support of securing the company's offices and safeguarding classified information, you will lead the Insider Threat Program team that monitors, investigates, and reports on insider threat indicators from Intelsat's cleared employees, consultants, and contractors.
In your capacity as the company's ISSO, you will support the infrastructure used to support classified contracts, which includes all activities related to continuous monitoring and technical support, as well as the design and implementation of these platforms.
As a Facility Security Officer, Insider Threat Program Senior Official, & Information System Security Officer, you will be responsible to :
* Perform security tasks as indicated by the National Industrial Security Operating Manual ("NISPOM"), by various Director of Central Intelligence Directives ("DCID") and by guidelines issued by other government agencies
* Guide the administration and safeguarding of classified information entrusted to the organization, ensuring compliance with all appropriate protocols, investigating security incidents, and resolving any security issues
* Provides guidance and support to the Senior Management Official and other cleared staff regarding security matters
* Liaise with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency ("DCSA") and customer program security offices regarding all manner of security matters
* Administers security programs related to company personnel, including programs (e.g. NBIS) to obtain new security clearances and facilitate continuous enrollment for existing cleared staff.
* Offers interpretation and advice to management and other internal customers regarding security requirements and procedures
* Participates in the administration and enforcement of the company's FOCI instrument procedures, and collaborates on reports to Intelsat's Board of Managers and Government Security Committee ("GSC") on compliance with these procedures

* Respond to alarm conditions for sensitive facilities, and assist in the periodic inspection process for these systems, reporting any adverse information as necessary

* Lead insider threat program activities related to cleared staff.

YOUR PROFILE :
* Must have a Bachelors' Degree, with at least three (3) years of applicable experience in security clearances, government security protocols and related subjects; additional experience will be considered in lieu of degree
* Must have a well-developed knowledge and understanding of United States government rules and regulations related to security and classified information, especially the directives and guidelines of the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community
* Must have a strong understanding of the requirements necessary to safeguard classified information
* Must have expertise at using NBIS, DISS, and NISS to support personnel and facility security clearances.
* Must have a good knowledge of how to operate secure telephone equipment, secure fax machines, and classified computer systems
* Must have extensive experience supplying cybersecurity sustainment support for classified environments
* Must have working knowledge of Windows-based platforms, with a clear understanding of how to configure these platforms in a domain environment based on mandated security guidelines
* Must be decisive and able to make important decisions promptly, even when under pressure
* Must have strong interpersonal, oral presentation, and writing skills
* Strong leadership principles preferred
* Must hold a current Top Secret/SCI security clearance with current polygraph.

Site Security Coordinators must have at least 3 years of experience in the CSM Program.
Have and maintain a Top-Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance.

The SSC will be knowledgeable in both guard and construction surveillance functions, however, they need not be certified in both.
The SSC must be capable of independent decision making, possess a high degree of initiative and be capable of functioning with minimal supervision.

Job Description
Public Safety officers provide a safe and secure environment at Notre Dame of Maryland University. They are responsible for the general safety of the campus community, protection of university property and the effective operation of the University's communication base.
Knowledge: High school diploma or GED required. Knowledge of PBX/multi-line telephone console, radio transmission protocol preferred. Basic computer skills required.
Experience: Must be at least 21 years old. One year of experience in security or related field and switchboard operation preferred.
Skills/Aptitude: Excellent communication skills (voice and manner), along with excellent customer services skills required. Must be capable of working with a diverse population and demonstrate composure in all types of situations. The ability to operate a computerized telephone console and manage a moderate volume of phone calls and requests required. Must be self-motivated.
Working Conditions: Requires physical stamina to patrol on foot during all types of weather. Duties require extensive walking, climbing stairs, driving a vehicle, and other physical exertion. May require working overtime hours. May require staying outdoors for long periods of time during adverse weather conditions. Position is considered "essential" and requires the employee to report to work under conditions when the university, for other staff/faculty/students may be closed.
Pre-Employment Requirements: Must pass a background check, pass a pre-employment physical exam, and possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of two years.
