Duties During the course of their careers, Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection. IS UNABLE TO PERFORM THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION TO WHICH HE/SHE SEEKS APPOINTMENT, WITH OR WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION. The applicant will be ineligible until he/she is able to perform the essential job functions. 8. IS UNABLE TO OBTAIN A TEXAS DRIVERS LICENSE WITHIN THE SPECIFIED TIME REQUIRED BY THE TEXAS TRANSPORTATION CODE. HAS USED ILLICIT SUBSTANCES AS INDICATED IN THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES: Applicants will be temporarily disqualified when they have admitted to conduct which constitutes illegal use of marijuana, or any derivative during the last three (3) years. Applicants, who admit to conduct which constitutes abuse of legally obtained prescription medication(s), or illegal use of prescription medication(s) of another person, may be temporarily or permanently disqualified. Conduct involving the abuse and/or misuse of prescription medication(s) will be considered on a case-by-case basis with consideration given to circumstances. Applicants will be permanently disqualified for unlawfully possessing, or using any controlled substance listed in the Texas controlled Substance Act, felony level drugs (example: cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine). This includes the use of THC oil/vaping products. If an applicant has used or possessed any felony level drug or any controlled substance listed in the Texas controlled Substance Act prior to their 25th birthday, they must wait 10 years from the last time used. For example, if you used cocaine when you were 20 years of age, you would need to wait until you were 30 years of age to apply. Applicants will be disqualified for any history of inhaling any solvents, paints, or similar products over 17 years of age (once or twice as a juvenile will be accepted). Applicants who have used illegal anabolic steroids after 1991 will be disqualified. 2. Escort all catering carts from the time the monitoring/inspection is completed until the carts are loaded onto the transport vehicle. 11. After concluding the search and loading, close and seal all carts with tamper evident security seals. 12. The air carrier or representative meeting the carts at the aircraft will inspect the seal for signs of tampering prior to breaking it. 13. In the event a seal shows signs of tampering or are discovered broken, the suspect cart must be searched for weapons, explosives, and other dangerous devices prior to loading on aircraft. 14. All seals must be stored in a locked container and protected from unauthorized access. 15. Notify or ensure immediate Law Enforcement Officer and/or Airline Ground Security Coordinator notification when necessary. 16. Ensure safe handling of dangerous or deadly weapons/objects discovered until arrival of the Law Enforcement Officer. 17. Contact Law Enforcement Officer if items of contraband (illegal items) are discovered during the screening process. Maintain control of items until arrival of the L.E.O. 18. Report all Government tests, real weapons, injuries and other major incidents to supervisor immediately. 19. Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas, maintain cleanliness of immediate work area and report maintenance needs. 20. Project a positive image and respond to inquiries from clients, staff and public in a courteous manner. 21. Attend meetings and in-services as required. 22. Utilize appropriate communications channels and maintain records, reports and files as required. 23. Must be in proper uniform or business attire as directed by company officials. 24. This person will direct the development and administration of security programs, procedures, and physical security controls for the safeguarding of classified material (32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM), proprietary materials, and documentation for responsible facilities as well as related efforts for the Electronic Systems Division. In addition, this person will oversee the security operations of their responsible facilities to ensure compliance with the Special Security agreement (SSA), Visitation Policy (VP) and directives issued by the ESA Government Security Committee (GSC) and Management. Responsibilities and Tasks: Direct and administer the National Industrial Security Programs to ensure compliance with government and ESA security regulations. Serve as the primary security interface to the Electronic Systems Division General Manager and their leadership team in the area of industrial security. Ensure timely distribution of Department of Defense regulations concerning classified information. Oversee investigations involving fraud, theft, sabotage, espionage, subversive activities or employee misconduct. Direct and manage the badge identification system for all employees, service and technical representatives, contractors, and visitors. Lead efforts concerning physical security of the building to include the possible response to alarms, key/lock control, combination changes and tracking, security camera support, and other potential emergency response needs. Review all classified contracts to ensure that proper security guidance is received from the government or other contracting officer. Serve as an advisor to the Corporate Security Leadership Team on matters regarding security for the Electronic Systems Division and responsible facilities. Act on behalf of the GSC in administering the SSA with their authority as established in applicable Procedures, the SSA and the Visitation Policy (VP), and other directives issued by the GSC. Provide to the GSC a periodic assessment of effectiveness of the SSA and Visit Requests and a Summary of Activities. Responsible for ensuring all Electronic Systems Division employees, contractors, and consultants who require access to classified information have an active and in-scope personnel security clearance. Maintain all facility clearance (FCL) records and documentation for responsible facilities. Exercise control and supervision over the receipt, storage and transmission of classified information, ensuring compliance with applicable government directives. Assist the Corporate Security Team with maintaining the Corporate Standard Practice Procedures (SPP), as necessary, to implement applicable requirements of 32 CFR Part 117, the NISPOM and company policies. Ensure initial security briefings are conducted for all new employees upon employment, and then at least annually to include ESA's Special Security Agreement (SSA), the responsibilities of the Government Security Committee (GSC) of ESA and its subsidiaries, and the Visitation Policy (VP). Ensure that all cleared employees are advised of their individual responsibilities for safeguarding classified information. Conduct self-inspection programs for the purpose of evaluating all security procedures applicable to ESA. Maintain records of self-inspections for review during the next regularly scheduled inspection by Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). Select, train and develop subordinates. Review their performance against assigned duties. Recommend all employee status changes including compensation, promotions, transfers, and terminations. Maintain a facility-focused insider threat program in accordance with the enterprise insider threat plan. Other related duties as assigned by the corporate security leadership.
