Senior Special Assets Officer

Position Overview:
This position is primarily responsible for managing a loan portfolio consisting of commercial borrowers exhibiting well defined or potential weaknesses (i.e., criticized loans). Special Assets Officers develop strategies to resolve problem loans while preserving Bank capital. Also integrates with the Commercial and Business Banking teams to assist with credit management and strategies to improve the credit weakness on a consultive basis. Transactions are generally more complex in nature and limited managerial oversight is needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manages an assigned portfolio of problem loans. Meets with customers and recommends strategies to improve likelihood of repayment while minimizing risk of loss to the Bank. Disposes of repossessed assets in an efficient and timely manner with a goal of maximizing value. Meets or exceeds established performance goals.
Negotiates workout agreements with customers to protect or improve the likelihood of repayment or minimizing risk of loss to the Bank.Engages and directs the actions of inhouse counsel, outside counsel and other vendors in an efficient and timely manner.
Reviews all assigned commercial loans with the Manager of Special Assets.Reviews all assigned "shadow" loan relationships with Loan Officers.Ensures loans are properly rated and reviewed for appropriate accrual/non-accrual status.Recommends specific impairments and charge offs on a timely basis.
Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested or according to an established schedule, compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate Bank personnel.
Presents problem loan strategies to the Special Attention Credit Committee in a clear and concise manner. Reports will be submitted in the timeframe requested and will include recommendations for both loan risk rating and accrual status.
Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department and with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.Responds to inquiries relating to Special Assets or requests from customers, other company personnel, etc. within given time frames and within established policy.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.

Summary
Under limited supervision, provides security coverage to the Graylyn Conference Center property, conducts foot patrols and security checks, monitors area for unauthorized users, responds to incidents, reports hazards, and completes necessary reports during the third shift. Assists Conference Set Up Department with set-up of meeting and dining rooms as needed. THIS POSITION IS THE THIRD SHIFT.
Essential Functions:
Night watch operations: Performs foot and vehicle patrols of all buildings on the property.
Monitors activities in and around buildings, parking lots, and open fields.
Ensures guest and meeting rooms are locked and secure.
Detects any safety hazards or issues, documents them and reports promptly.
Performs clean up of bio-hazardous incidents, such as vomit or blood.
Completes written documentation of all injuries, damaged property, theft, vandalism, etc.
In the absence of the Manager on Duty, handles guest conflicts involving intoxication, unauthorized possession of alcohol, etc.
In the absence of a Transportation Assistant, may drive to the airport to pick up/ drop off a guest.
Enforces policies and procedures of the Conference Center.
Responsible for the evacuation of buildings in emergencies.
Performs all essential functions of a Set-Up Attendant.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
High School graduate with one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Security experience, particularly in a hospitality setting, is preferred.
Valid North Carolina driver's license and good driving record; must be insurable.
Skill in building security and lock procedures.

Ability to write detailed and accurate reports.
Ability to detect criminal activity and communicate with Campus Police Officers.

Position Summary
Security Officers uphold and enforce Livingstone College rules and regulations in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and Staff Handbook to ensure the safety and security of the faculty, staff, students, and college property. This civilian role works closely with the sworn police officers to maintain a safe college community.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or equivalent and 21 years of age
* A minimum of one year of related work experience, preferably in an institutional or campus environment, but will train
* Must have a valid driver's license
* Good customer relations skills and the ability to communicate clearly; ability to think and act quickly and effectively in emergencies; ability to analyze situations accurately and make appropriate decisions
