Seeking an enthusiastic, professional, knowledgeable, goal-oriented, and motivating individual for the role of Colorguard Instructor. They will oversee all aspects of the Marching Bulldogs Colorguard and recruitment. Director will work closely with the Director of Bands in order to design uniforms, flags, choreography and work for all half-time performances. Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the program coordinator and designer for the colorguard. Maintain a culture that promotes a positive environment, success and growth of the program. Helps to recruit for the colorguard. Must be able to attend band camp, season rehearsals Wednesday and Friday from 4pm-6pm as well as 5 home football games. Campus Safety Officers will be required to complete, pass and maintain training and certification (where applicable) in the following areas: * SLED Primary Basic and Plus courses * Converse Campus Safety courses as assigned * ASP Baton certification * NARCAN Administration certification * Pepper Spray training and certification. * First Aid Response training * Tourniquet Use training * CPR training and certification * Firearms training and qualification * Driving and Vehicle Stop training Operating knowledge of and experience with computer and peripherals including hand held radios, body cameras, surveillance cameras, computer operating systems (Microsoft Word, Excel), telephones, etc. required within three (3) months of hire. Physical Demands Must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job including: * Regular walking and standing for extended periods of time * Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing as necessary * Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally more with assistance * Ability to intervene in physical altercations or physically restrain people * Exposure to outdoor weather conditions * Ordinarily working in environments with normal noise levels Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Responsibilities: Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. Fill out reports with a high level of detail. Make weekly schedules. Warn violators of premise rules and regulations Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes. Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations Successfully use the provided software to annotate events that occur during shift. Make regular trips around the property and scan the pre-determined points as directed by management. Work as part of a team Requirements: Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, or other related fields Familiarity with security equipment Ability to handle a light physical workload.
