Duties
During the course of their careers, Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
Be at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time you receive a conditional offer of employment, unless you have previous service in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position covered by special law enforcement or firefighter retirement provisions, including early or mandatory retirement. Applicants with veteran's preference must receive a conditional offer of employment prior to reaching age 40 to continue in the application process.
Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. xevrcyc Applicants must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear without the use of a hearing aid.

Assists with student supervision in the breakfast and lunch periods and with morning arrival and afternoon dismissal of students.
Assists with arrival and dismissal traffic duties.
Notifies building administration, police, and/or appropriate emergency personnel of any emergency, potentially dangerous or unusual situations.
Assists administrators and staff in crisis and emergency situations.
Follows procedures for various initiatives; including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control and accident investigations.
Assists visitors with directions and securing proper identification.
Detects, investigates and reports unauthorized or suspicious persons, vehicles and activities.

University of Iowa Health Care is the state's acknowledged leader in emergency care. We have the state's only Level I trauma center for adult and pediatric care. Our Emergency Department is the only emergency room in eastern Iowa to staff board-certified pediatric specialists. We receive more than 1,070 patients transferred by helicopter between in a typical year. We care for nearly 50,000 Emergency-Trauma Center visits in an average year. The trauma team, administered by the Department of Surgery, includes six trauma surgeons, four of whom are also critical-care specialists. In addition, multiply injured patients receive care from specialists in many areas including but not limited to orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, anesthesia, radiology and the Emergency Department. The Emergency Department uses Air Care, which is the only flight program in the state affiliated with an emergency medicine residency program and is the only flight program in the state supplementing their medical crew with flight physicians. The following are basic functions and responsibilities of this role:
Be responsible for safeguarding the client, family, and personal property located at the residence.
Incorporate the client's core values and code of conduct in all decisions and actions.
Be responsible for making real-time operational decisions that enhance safety for the client and immediate family members.
Maintain and manage all security logs, radio logs, visitor information, residence audits, vehicle inspections, and security phone communication.
Monitor the residential intrusion detection system, panic alarms, and CCTV camera system.
Access control for visitors, employees, and vendors.
Demonstrate effective communication with the client, the family, and other team members.
Maintain discretion and confidentiality.
Promote and establish effective working relationships with the client and the Detail Lead er to quickly resolve operational issues without affecting the client's quality of life.
Detect and report suspicious activity and security vulnerabilities.
Be able to operate in a dynamic, multifaceted, and fast-paced environment.
A valid IA Exposed Firearm Permit and Guard Card are required .
Desired Qualifications
5 + years of experience in Executive Protection, ERT, PSD, or RST.
A valid LEOSA permit, Concealed Carry Weapons permit, Exposed Firearm Permit, Armed Guard Card, and/or CPR certification.
Participation in random drug screenings.
Team members must always maintain physical readiness to respond to an attack or hazard.
Professional and friendly communicator with a positive attitude and commitment to excellence (prior experience in customer service or hospitality industries preferred).
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Prior military, law enforcement experience providing physical security, emergency response, surveillance detection, secure transportation preferred.
Prior training in incident response, emergency medicine, etc.
