Job title: Security Officer (Unarmed) Multiple Positions and shift hours available Unarmed security officer services are to be provided at various facilities and the surrounding areas to include Northwood Village, Pleasant City, and others. Responsibilities:
Report for duty on time and in full uniform

Operate checkpoint screening equipment to include x-ray system and metal detections
Communicate via the use of two-way radio and cell phone.
Complete daily logs, generate reports as needed, communicate with clients and the public
Observe and report suspicious or unusual situations to immediate supervisor and law enforcement when necessary and be proactive in identifying and reporting potential problems.
Perform periodic patrol at required facilities and parks and register patrol on electronic monitoring devices.
Mobile patrol provides visible uniform security presence, inspection of streets, public alleyways, sidewalks, vacant lots and vacant and occupied buildings for any security concerns, remaining alert to observe and report suspicious or unusual situations to law
enforcement when necessary.
Enforce Park rules, report any suspicious activity, vandalism, theft, unruly behavior, any abandoned unserviceable vehicles, etc.
Requirements:
• Must have High school diploma or equivalent
• Shall be 21 years of age or older
• Must maintain physical health consistent with demands of performance
• Must have Class D Security License
• Must be able to speak and write in detailed English
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is
conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation.
• Prior experience in X-ray system, HHMD, CCTV systems, or access computer
systems.
• State Officer license is required.
• Pass a regulated drug test (where required).
• Must have clean driving record (for certain job duties)

Security is responsible for meeting, greeting, and registering guests and residents, as well as maintaining the safety of the property. Security accurately maintains daily logs, records, and forms. Your Responsibilities:
* Demonstrates excellent customer service, communication, and time management skills.
* Monitors and operates Electronic Security Control Systems and Emergency Response Systems.
* Responds to emergency situations in a timely manner.
* Monitors and controls access to the building.
* Accurately maintains daily logs, records, and forms.
* Maintains a safe and secure environment throughout the building/property.
* Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
* Works shifts that are subject to change based on property needs.
* Needs to read and understand The Continental Employee Handbook/Security Standard Operating Procedures.
* Attends Security / Front Desk staff meetings.
* May be assigned other duties by the on-site Community Association Manager.
Skills & Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalency required.
* College level courses in business or hospitality preferred.
* Must possess strong customer service background.
* Two (2) to three (3) years of business experience in a similar position preferred.
* Command of information system hardware/software is required. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Multiple language fluency is desirable.
* Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift 30 - 50 lbs.
* Work in an upright, standing, or sitting position for long periods of time.
* Handle, grasp, and lift objects and packages.
* Reach with hands and arms.
* Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word.
* Ability to navigate the building/property quickly and easily as required to meet the job functions.
* Complete all required forms.
* Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on building requirements.
* Ability to respond to emergencies and callouts in a timely manner.
