The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents, visitors, staff and protecting Community property. Responsible for verifying the scheduled presence of all employees, and third party contractors on the grounds.
Essential Job Duties :
Makes scheduled rounds both inside and outside the buildings to maintain a secure environment for residents and their property as well as company property.
Responds to all fire alarms and apartment emergency calls.
Shovels and keeps clear exit door walkways during and after snowstorms.
Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.
Other Duties :
Performs light maintenance as time allows such as changing light bulbs, touch up painting and similar assignments.
Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition.
Attends in-service training and education session, as assigned.
Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
One year experience in security preferred.

What You'll Do:
Monitor and control access to the residential location, verifying identification and credentials of residents, visitors, and vendors.
Provide customer service by assisting residents and guests with inquiries and directions, while maintaining security-related procedures as outlined by site-specific policies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
Document and report any security-related incidents, maintenance issues, or suspicious activity to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
Follow all site-specific policies and procedures to maintain a secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Minimum Requirements:
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
