This position supports the bank's social impact mission by improving performance across distressed lending portfolios. **Essential Duties:** · Manage a portfolio of criticized, classified, and non-performing multifamily, CRE, and commercial loans, including Freddie Mac loans. · Develop and execute tailored workout strategies (restructures, extensions, forbearance agreements, repayment plans, and collateral liquidation). · Conduct detailed financial, collateral, property performance, and guarantor analyses to assess risk and recommend action plans. · Lead initiative-taking collection efforts and negotiate directly with borrowers and guarantors to improve recovery outcomes. · Partner with Legal on foreclosure, bankruptcy, receivership, litigation, and enforcement actions. · Prepare clear, comprehensive credit memos, impairment analyses, and updates for senior leadership and credit committees. · Collaborate with internal partners across credit administration, operations, compliance, finance, and servicing. · Maintain accurate records, documentation, risk ratings, and reporting to support audits and regulatory reviews. · Stay current with Federal Home Loan Bank standards and all applicable regulatory requirements. **Qualifications:** · Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field. · 8-10 years of experience in commercial loan workouts, special assets, commercial credit, or related functions. · Experience managing commercial real estate loans. **Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:** · Strong commercial credit and financial analysis skills, including property evaluation. · Advanced negotiation skills with the ability to navigate complex borrower conversations. · Deep knowledge of CRE structures, collateral valuation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and legal recovery processes. · Ability to develop and execute sound workout strategies in high-pressure scenarios. · Excellent communication and presentation skills, including executive-level documentation. · Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage a high-volume distressed portfolio. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with banking systems and credit/risk platforms. **Travel Requirements:** No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion. **Physical Requirements:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
