About the Role:
This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safety, protection, and operational continuity of our Pine Bluff site. As a Security Guard, you will serve as the first line of defense in safeguarding our people, assets, and facilities. The position exists to maintain a secure environment through proactive monitoring, quick decision-making, and consistent communication with the management team. This role interacts closely with operations, maintenance, HR, and external partners, helping support Suzano's commitment to a safe, reliable, and welcoming workplace.

Responsibilities
What You're Going to Do:
Prepare clear, accurate, and timely written incident reports.
Provide consistent and reliable information to the facility management team regarding incident follow-ups, case documentation, and other reporting systems.
Perform routine security patrols throughout the facility grounds and maintain detailed documentation of all activities.
Update daily safety and security logs to support operational visibility.
Operate a company vehicle to conduct safety rounds and respond to site needs promptly.
Monitor for unsafe conditions, unusual activity, or potential risks, escalating issues when necessary.
Serve as a visible safety presence, promoting a secure environment for employees and visitors.

Flex Officer Explanation
The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company's operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers, while also protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.
Scheduling Expectations
The scheduling parameters and expectations for a flex officer are different from those of an employee assigned to a fixed post. As a flex:
You will be trained at various posts and /or facilities based on operational need. While you may work at a specific post or location for several weeks due to need, this will not be a permanent assignment.
Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need.
You will be assigned to, or offered the opportunity to accept, shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
Some of your shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted with the new week's schedule. Sometimes you will be called with short notice and asked to come in to cover for someone who is unable to work their shift.
You are expected to work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance which falls within the availability described on this sheet. If you know you will be unavailable on an upcoming date or time that would normally fall within your availability described on this sheet, you must communicate this with your supervisor, so they know not to schedule you.
For short-notice call-ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. If you refuse more than 20% of shifts for which you are called in, this could negatively impact your employment status with the company.
A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.

SUMMARY
Patrol assigned areas relative to maintaining law and order and public safety. Must insure and protect complete confidentiality of departmental matters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Enforce the laws of the United States, State of Arkansas and County ordinances.
2. Investigate, report and aid in prosecution of violators.
3. Enforce all rules and regulations of the POA in regard to public safety, traffic and security within Hot Springs Village. Promotes public safety.

QUALIFICATIONS The extensive qualifications for a law enforcement officer are established by state law. Must have a satisfactory driving record.
EDUCATION

EXPERIENCE
Must be Law Enforcement certified through Arkansas or any other accredited state. Advancement may vary according to needs and positions available.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret law enforcement periodicals, professional journals, court decrees, court decisions, and governmental rules and regulations. Ability to write reports and make oral presentations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to perform basic functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve problems of a practical and abstract nature. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
