Under moderate supervision, provides Public Safety Services for the riding public, LTD employees, and assets. Essential Job Functions: * Provides information and appropriate assistance concerning public transportation and District facilities. * Explains, interprets, and enforces District ordinances, rules, regulations, and other statutes. * Provides reports as required to supervisor's office. * Patrols District and other jurisdictional areas for the purpose of supporting the district, preventing and detecting violations of ordinances and laws, and reporting violators or issuing citations and service modifications to transit services for violations on foot and by vehicle. * Performs investigative duties regarding District complaints and incidents. * Assists law enforcement agencies when necessary and/or requested. * Provides crowd and traffic control coverage at special events and assigned activities. * Assists and provides appropriate first aid. * Writes detailed reports on all accidents, citations, arrests, and other necessary reports. * Testifies in court as required. * Responds to emergencies at District locations. Degree/College coursework preferred. * Valid Oregon Class C driver's license with acceptable history. Class B with P & A endorsement preferred. * Sufficient physical strength, flexibility, and endurance to meet LTD standards. * Requires good physical condition with complete mobility and sensory abilities. This includes the ability to push and pull with 80 pounds of force and drag 165 pounds for 25 feet. * Must successfully pass an in-depth LTD background investigation and medical evaluation. Compensation: This position is a full-time, non-exempt position, eligible for the regular union benefits package. The starting wage is $25.11 per hour during the nine (9) month probationary period. After successful completion of probation, the wage is increased to $27.86 per hour with a percentage wage increases every nine (9) months thereafter until reaching the current top wage of $35.87 per hour. The work schedule for this position is determined by a seniority bid system and varies (days, nights, weekends). As our Facility Security Agent- Swing Shift, you will provide protection for all Rose Quarter facilities, property, employees, and guests through observation, monitoring of alarm systems, CCTV systems and access systems. SCHEDULE: Full-time Security Agents work five (8-hour) shifts per week. Hours for this role are as follows: Swing Shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM), subject to change. While this is a fixed schedule, there may be occasions when you'll be asked to support other shifts to meet business needs. DAY-TO-DAY: Patrolling Rose Quarter facilities on foot. Assisting in running the Rose Quarter Command Center. Investigating suspicious people and/or activities. Monitoring entry and departure of people in Rose Quarter facilities. Overseeing shipments and deliveries to the Rose Quarter. Monitoring fire alarms, determining validity. Assisting in evacuation of guests and employees in emergencies, providing basic medical assistance. Operating Security and Fire Command computers. Answering questions and providing information to the public. Investigating and recommending corrective action as necessary to resolve complaints. Checking facilities and equipment for maintenance and repairs. Operating lights and alarms. Maintaining radio communications. Maintaining time equipment and operational reports and records. Assisting medical personnel by directing traffic, crowd control, and securing needed equipment. Assisting with key control, lost and found and elevator operations. Operating base radio to maintain contact with in-house departments. Accurately taking messages and relaying them to other personnel. Questioning callers to determine nature and location of services needed. Maintaining accurate communications log. Checking status of security and medical staff. Perform other duties as assigned. They prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures and restraining trespassers. This position requires knowledge and understanding of daily operations and AGB's policies and procedures. Summary Description: The Campus Safety Officer position reports to the Assistant Director of Campus Safety. This role oversees the safety and welfare of the campus: students, faculty, staff, guests, and the property, providing a professional presence that promotes confidence among the campus community. Lock and unlock University facilities according to the master calendar. Monitor all parking lots, grounds, academic buildings and student housing assuring a safe environment for the living and learning community. Escort students and employees as requested. Essential Functions: Patrol University grounds and facilities to ensure a safe and secure environment including on foot and in vehicles, patrolling Campus facilities, parking lots, and grounds including the interior of all buildings on campus. Monitor all activity and confront any suspicious behavior on Campus. Escort visitors and intruders off campus if required. Issue citations and warnings to violators. Interview individuals who are involved in incidents, gathering information and writing reports on crimes, violence, vandalism, fires, and other illegal activities that occur on campus. Give accounts of people involved, who are affected and what measures were taken to minimize or eliminate the incidents. Title IX designated response employee. All Title IX reports will be submitted to Title IX Coordinator. Respond quickly to all calls to Campus Safety for assistance and contacting local Police, Fire or Medical personnel when necessary. Perform inspections of facilities safety equipment and other tasks as needed to support the overall facility management. Perform basic inspections of Campus vehicles. Contribute to the support and implementation of the University Strategic Plan. Participate in Warner Pacific University professional development opportunities.
