Role and Team As a Security Guard, you will be an integral part of the Security Team executing processes at our facility to ensure our associates, customers, and assets are protected. Verify only authorized individuals enter the property. Provide facility directions to customers, vendors and transporters. Check gate passes to ensure vehicles are authorized to exit property. Check departing vehicles to guard against theft of company property. Greet customers at the gate and provide prompt and courteous service. Resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner. When difficult situations arise, de-escalate situations to ensure we win with partners and collaborate on the forefront. Using a handheld device, input vehicle information including the VIN number, miles, owner identification, vehicle options, repair orders and any other pertinent information. Verify the VIN number being entered matches the VIN number on the shipper's Bill of Lading. Watch and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes and doors left unsecured. Account for and identify all keys, codes or other safety and security information Maintain a current list of emergency and management telephone numbers Maintain good operating condition of all equipment and facilities, including handheld devices and printers. Notify management of all breakdowns and maintenance needs. Maintain a professional appearance and orderly work environment Practice and promote teamwork continuously. Traffic, Events & Campus Operations * Enforces campus parking and traffic policies and procedures in accordance with Rosemont College regulations and applicable state laws. * Supports safe campus traffic and parking operations and provides crowd management and safety support for events and special activities. Communication & Continuity * Maintains daily activity logs and accurately completes all departmental forms and reports. * Prepares clear, timely, and factual written documentation for all incidents, accidents, security concerns, and policy violations. * Ensures effective shift-to-shift communication by briefing incoming officers on relevant information.
