Examples of what you will do during a shift: Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergency, having the necessary departmental knowledge relating to emergency preparedness Help, when requested, to assist students in moving about campus, particularly after dark. Continuously patrol the campus and campus buildings, most often on foot, investigating any suspicious activities and reporting any observed hazards (lighting, doors, etc.) Respond promptly to calls for assistance or reports through LiveSafe. Be able to approach circumstances or situations with sensitivity, discretion, and confidentiality. Qualifications Required qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors Degree preferred; 1-3 years of law enforcement, campus safety or security experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a current Kentucky drivers license and be able to be approved as an authorized driver by the University and be insurable under university guidelines. These positions involve moderate lifting, the use of stairs and extensive walking in all weather conditions. Experience using Microsoft Office products is highly desirable.
