GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Performs responsible protective service work maintaining security and safe environment at a school; does related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision. School security personnel are often "First Responders" and are often the first to arrive at disruptive and combative situations involving students with injuries or needing medical care. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This is light work requiring the exertion of up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
