We offer a starting pay of $27.65 per hour ($57,512.00 per year, plus overtime) for Public Safety Officers. The top pay of $36.75 is achieved after only three (3) years ($76,440.00 plus overtime). Qualified PSO candidates with more than three (3) years but less than five (5) years of sworn law enforcement experience will start at the 18-month rate of pay currently at $31.51 per hour. Qualified PSO candidates with more than five (5) years of sworn law enforcement experience will begin at the top pay rate (36-month) at $36.75 per hour.
