Salina Public Library is looking to hire one guard for the Security Flex position. This position consists of 10 to 15 hours per week, working Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon-5 p.m. Hours are flexible and scheduling will depend on library needs and the guard's availability. The Security Guard position may require the guard filling this position to work morning, afternoon, evening and weekend hours. The security guards at Salina Public Library provide high-quality, friendly and professional services. As a guard, one must provide excellent customer service and understand how to work with diverse patrons. Effective communication is a must and the ability to respond to security issues in a decisive and confidential manner. Basic Function To ensure the safety and security of all persons and property on the Southwestern College campus. Employees in this classification must be able to lift, transport, move or physically assist people receiving services either individually or with assistance.
