As a Level III Armed Officer, you will provide proactive and reactive security coverage through vehicular patrols and other assignments. Key Responsibilities: Provide armed security services, including routine patrols (vehicle and foot) and fixed post duties. Serve as a Security Officer Supervisor when designated, leading security teams and enforcing procedures. Respond to emergencies and incidents, exercising sound judgment and effective crisis management. Conduct regular inspections, monitor surveillance systems, and report any suspicious activities. Ensure strict adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and company security protocols. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Licensing Requirements: Valid Florida Class “D” Security Officer License (as per Florida Statute 493). Valid Florida Class “G” Firearms License (as per Florida Statute 493). Valid State of Florida Driver's License (required for officers assigned to vehicular patrols). Education & Experience: Candidates must meet at least one of the following criteria: Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Police Science, or Security Administration. Equivalent combination of Associate's/Bachelor's degree and relevant Military or Security experience. Minimum three (3) years as a sworn police officer. Minimum three (3) years as military police. Minimum three (3) years as a correctional officer (with sworn arrest powers). Minimum three (3) years of active-duty career military service. Additional Considerations: Miami-Dade Police Academy or other State of Florida-recognized law enforcement academy graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
