Duties
During the course of their careers, Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
Be at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time you receive a conditional offer of employment, unless you have previous service in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position covered by special law enforcement or firefighter retirement provisions, including early or mandatory retirement. Applicants with veteran's preference must receive a conditional offer of employment prior to reaching age 40 to continue in the application process.
Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.

Definition: The School Security Officer (SSO) can be assigned to various schools throughout Calhoun County. The SSO will be responsible for providing a visible presence in addition to preparing/developing safety procedures, conducting trainings, physical protection of students and staff, supervising school entryways, maintaining positive relationships and active as a role model for the students.
Essential Functions:
* Developing safety procedures for potential threats in the school, conducting drills with students and staff, and de-escalating aggression between students, and between students and staff.
* Patrolling the school grounds, ensuring overall safety, viewing videos, and security monitors, and watching for suspicious activity.
* Supervising weapons detectors (if applicable) and special events and directing foot and automobile traffic if necessary.

Security Officer/Guard
* Security Positions are Full and Part Time
* Must have excellent Customer Service skills
* Security positions require you pass our drug screen and background check
* Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guard
Job Requirements of the Security Officer/Security Guard include but are not limited to:
* Security Officers/Security Guards observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
* Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
* Additional physical requirements of the security officer/guard may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds

The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client's employees and customers.
