Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Imperial Regional Detention Facility in Calexico, California. We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff while helping detainees acquire valuable skills and receive the necessary treatment for success upon release. Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the custody and discipline of detainees assigned to the unit. Essential Functions: Search for contraband and provide security. Count, feed, and supervise detainees in housing, work and other areas. Perform specific security functions, including ‘pat' and ‘strip' searches, by squatting and bending to perform such functions. Transfer and transport detainees by walking, driving, or riding in vehicles. Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. BSIS CA Guard Card, BSIS phase 2, BSIS phase 3, BSIS CA firearms permit 40 caliber, baton permit, and DMV medical clearance certificate is required. Prior corrections experience is preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid Class B driver's license in the state of California with passenger and air-break endorsements, with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
