Armed Security Officer This position will have the responsibilities for being assigned to a specific post within Morgan Protection Services active accounts. The Security Officer will be afully trained Armed Security Officer with a minimum of three (3) years armed security experience, two (2) years military experience or federal, state or local law enforcementacademy. Security Officer shall not have been convicted of any felony nation-wide. In addition, this officer shall be: Knowledgeable in the use of surveillance, access control, multi-line telecommunications, and radio equipment Able to screen visitors for any unauthorized items• Able to successfully complete armed security enforcement class Able to perform foot patrols to areas that need to be secure Proficient in customer services skills, be able to greet, direct or assist patrons with navigational directions for that particular assigned site Able to complete shift reports and incident reports All Morgan Protection Services Security Officers shall complete a CCDW (Carrying Concealed Deadly Weapon) course. We mandate that all our armed security officers be licensed through the Commonwealth of Kentucky to carry a firearm. All armed security officers working within Louisville Metro shall complete a 40-hour Security Enforcement course and CCDW course. After successful completion of both courses, all officers receive a permit to carry a firearm through the state and an armed guard license from Louisville Metro Government.
