Purpose:

To qualify at the GS-06 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Creditable specialized experience includes:
* Experience and knowledge of a body of basic laws and regulations, law enforcement operations, practices, and techniques and involved responsibility for maintaining order and protecting life and property.
* Basic investigative methods and techniques to investigate violations or reports of probable incidents.

Training: The DLA Police is dedicated to providing our military installations with the best possible quality of officer. We at DLA recognize that one of the most important ways to accomplish this task is through dedicated, consistent, and continual training. Our officers receive training through a variety of programs. The bulk of this training is conducted through the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA, and the Army Civilian Police Academy at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Recruit officers begin training immediately while receiving full pay and benefits.
Mission Essential: This position has been designated as a Mission Essential position (e.g., snow emergency days, holidays, increased security periods, national emergency). The position cannot be vacated during war or national emergencies without seriously impairing the mission. Assignments may be performed at any job site within the organization.
Physical Demands: The work requires extended periods of physical exertion derived from such activities as running, walking, standing, bending or driving and occasionally lifting, pushing and/or carrying items weighing 50 pounds or more. Requires stamina, physical agility and dexterity and the strength to pursue, apprehend or detain. The incumbent may be required to push or drag heavy weights of 150 pounds or more. The incumbent is required to exemplify the physical characteristic of agility in the performance of his/her duties. DoD and DLA regulations require at a minimum an initial and annual physical fitness test. The individual will also undergo routine training in defensive tactics, active shooter/hostage response, handcuffing and firearms qualifications which require physical agility, dexterity and stamina.
Work Environment: The work is performed in an environment which involves exposure to regular and recurring discomforts such as extreme variations in weather conditions while directing traffic and performing walking patrols. The incumbent may be exposed to high levels of noise in certain industrial settings, destructive weather or higher Force Protection conditions. The work involves moderate and high risks and possible endangerment of life or serious injury that requires the exercise of safety precautions and use of personal protective equipment such as vests, coats, gloves, boots, goggles, masks, shields, etc. Incumbent may also be subject to uncomfortable conditions where basic facilities may not be provided or functional.

In this critical role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and security of individuals and property at a Client location. This position is considered safety-sensitive and is essential for providing top-tier security services at INA and/or its client sites.
Key Responsibilities
Security Patrols: Conduct thorough patrols of buildings, perimeters, and parking lots to safeguard against unauthorized access, vandalism, and potential threats.
Policy Enforcement: Support the enforcement of client policies and procedures while adhering to both site-specific Standard Operating Procedures and INA's internal policies and training.
Threat Prevention: Implement security measures to protect against sabotage, terrorism, subversion, and other hostile activities.
Access Control: Manage ingress and egress points to secure specified areas.
Legal Compliance: Enforce standards of conduct and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Incident Response: Apprehend or detain individuals within the scope of your authority, following legal guidelines and instructions.
Emergency Management: Respond promptly to emergencies based on site-specific protocols.
Legal Testimony: Provide testimony in court proceedings, hearings, or appeals as necessary.
Required Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or GED required; a college degree in a related field is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement/security experience is required.
Licenses: Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation.
Background Screening: Ability to pass INA's pre-employment background check, including drug screening and criminal history evaluation.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work flexible hours, including before or after shifts, nights, and weekends as required.
Physical capability to walk, run, and maneuver over uneven terrain or pavement.
Ability to lift over 30 pounds.

Job DescriptionDescription:
The part-time Unarmed Security Guard is responsible for keeping the Nook Sports complex safe and secured during daily operating hours and events as well as greeting our guests in and around the Sports Complex. The main duties of this position include large event crowd control and parking lot traffic flow. The starting pay range for this position is $14-16/hour.
SCHEDULE: Hours are variable and will include weekends.
NOTE: Because this position will involve routine interaction with children, all candidates must successfully obtain the following clearances PRIOR to beginning employment:
PA State Police criminal history record,
PA Child Abuse Clearance, and
FBI Fingerprint-based criminal history clearance.

Essential Job Functions
Greet customers that are entering the complex
Assist and direct guests to areas they need to be
Maintain a presence of order during and between events
Monitor event areas for suspicious activity
Provide safe and friendly atmosphere in and around complex
Restrict and allow access to entries and exits of complex
Directing traffic upon entrance and exit to the complex
Keep flow of traffic orderly at drop off area and parking lots
All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
PA Child Abuse Clearance and FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance: Must be dated within the past 5 years and specifically for employment (not volunteer).
NOTE: If you do not have already these clearances, you will be provided with instructions when an offer of employment is made. Results can take up to 4-6 weeks. Both clearances must be presented before employment can begin. • 18 years of age or older
Valid Driver's License with good driving record
Dependable transportation to and from work
Language skills: Fluent knowledge of the English language; including the ability to read and interpret written information and speak and understand verbal communication
Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the position with any reasonable accommodations as necessary

Working Conditions
Work environment: Upbeat, high-energy sports and event complex with heavy foot traffic and frequent large crowds. The team member is occasionally required to work outside where he or she will be subject to environmental conditions.
Physical requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to perform physical activity that includes moving about the work area, standing, sitting, bending, reaching with hands and arms, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing and smelling. The team member will be frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. He or she is required to have the visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Lifting requirements: The team member will be required to lift, push, pull, lower and/or move up to 10 lbs regularly, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
