Position Summary: Incumbent serves as Patrol Officer for the Police Department, responsible for enforcing federal, state, and local laws, and serving and protecting individuals, their rights and property while performing the following duties: DUTIES: Monitors radio and other communication devices and responds to calls of distress and complaints of alleged unlawful activity, including assessing and bringing situations under control, taking statements from victims and witnesses, providing assistance, and calling social service organizations for assistance as needed.

Periodically assists with accident victims, and lifting victims onto stretchers and into medical vehicles as needed.
Directs vehicular and pedestrian traffic when congestion occurs or as assigned.
Works with other emergency personnel during weather emergencies, notifying appropriate individuals, including City departments and utilities, regarding dangerous conditions, such as downed trees and power lines.
Participates in formal investigation of crimes, including searching crime scenes, collecting, preserving and protecting evidence according to prescribed procedures, and interviewing victims and witnesses.
Conducts legal searches of persons and property with and without a warrant.
Pursues, apprehends, searches and arrests suspects using only necessary physical force, advising them of rights and transporting to detention area.
Prevents individuals from injuring themselves or others by using physical restraint or appropriate weapons.
Intervenes, mediates and assists in resolving citizen disputes.
Transports individuals detained by the City to appropriate courts, detention and/or medical facilities.
Serves various legal documents, including summonses, court orders, and notices of hearings; returns documents to appropriate officials and courts.
Periodically testifies and gives evidence in court as required, including meeting with Prosecuting Attorney, preparing documentation, and reviewing case materials.
Maintains appearance and serviceability of assigned vehicles, uniforms, equipment, and weapons.
May be given special assignments, such as public speaking engagements or providing police escorts.
May serve on specialized law enforcement teams, such as SWAT tactical teams, Dare Officer, and/or K-9.
Recovers/inventories stolen property and checks status of stolen property.
Types case reports.
Performs booking procedures of detained individuals, including fingerprinting, obtaining background information, photographing, and searching individuals.
Periodically attends prescribed in-service and/or training programs for certification in specialized law enforcement areas as assigned or required.

Security Officer

Racing Louisville FC is seeking a full-time Team Security Officer responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of players, technical staff, and traveling party at all appropriate times. This role will be embedded with the Team and present during all required Team activities, including training sessions, home and away matches, and Team-related travel.
The Team Security Officer will coordinate closely with the NWSL Director of Security to develop, implement, and maintain security protocols in alignment with league standards and best practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Team Presence & Coverage
Serve as the designated Team Security Officer and remain with the Team at all appropriate times, including but not limited to Training sessions, Home and Away matches, Team-related travel (domestic and international, as applicable)
Travel with the Team as required, including overnight and extended travel periods.
Security Planning & Protocols
Coordinate with the NWSL Director of Security to develop, implement, and continuously evaluate Team-specific security protocols.
Ensure compliance with all NWSL security standards, CBA requirements, and applicable league directives.
Conduct risk assessments for Team facilities, hotels, transportation, and venues.
Develop and maintain emergency action plans (EAPs) for Team activities and travel.
Game Day & Event Security
Coordinate with stadium security, local law enforcement, private security vendors, and venue staff for home and away matches.
Manage secure ingress and egress for players and staff.
Monitor crowd, media, and public interactions involving players and staff.
Travel & Logistics Support
Advance hotels, training sites, and venues from a security perspective.
Coordinate secure transportation plans for Team travel.
Serve as point of contact for security-related matters while traveling.
Incident Management & Reporting
Respond to and manage security incidents involving Team personnel.
Document incidents and provide timely reports to Club leadership and the NWSL Director of Security, as required.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with Team Operations, Medical, Player Care, and Communications staff to support a safe and secure Team environment.
Serve as a trusted on-site security resource for players and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in security, law enforcement, military, executive protection, or professional sports security.
Demonstrated experience working in high-visibility, fast-paced environments.
Ability to travel extensively, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended road trips.
Strong judgment, situational awareness, and de-escalation skills.
Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Successful completion of a pre-employment comprehensive background check is required.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States at the time of hire without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working with a professional sports team or league.
Experience coordinating security for team travel and large-scale events.
Familiarity with league-level security standards or collective bargaining agreement requirements.
CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
Must be available outside of traditional business hours based on Team schedule.
SCHEDULE:
Must be available to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, preseason, postseason, and all team matches and events (home and away).
Significant travel required, including on charter flights, buses, and multi-day road trips.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1 year of Security experience
Ability to show good judgement and common sense, be able to follow directions and directives from supervisors, accurately recount situations which they witnessed, and follow company policy and guidelines.
Professional appearance and be able to interact with the public.
Excellent verbal and written abilities to document violations or suspicious behavior.
Ability to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other dangerous incidents.
Keen eye for detail.
