Your job is to report any violation of policy and procedure, irregularities, and restrain trespassers by obtaining help with the sound of an alarm. As a security officer, you need to be more vigilant because you are responsible for completing reports by recording surveillance, observations, occurrences, and interviewing witnesses. You will also need to control traffic by directing drivers.
For your work to be effective, you need to monitor the organization's reputation and stability. You also need to undertake preventive measures to take care of all the equipment by calling repairs, following manufacturer manuals, and evaluating new facilities. One of the major works of security is to ensure safety by responding to an emergency quickly, protecting the company's assets, and following procedures for different occurrences such as fire prevention, traffic control, and accident investigations. The basic skills required for a security officer are the ability to multitask, interpersonal relationships, good communication skills, a wide knowledge of security procedures, and the ability to follow complex instructions. The average salary of a security yearly is $25,840, but you need a high school diploma to be considered for the role.
Don't shoot the messenger. Or the courier. These employees are responsible for delivering messages, packages, documents between offices or departments within an establishment.
As long as they don't get shot while performing their job responsibilities, this isn't a bad occupation to consider. The average annual salary is $30,620. Plus, couriers typically only work 35 hours a week.
