The Night Security/TA will provide transportation to incoming residents or other transportation as authorized by the Clinical Director. Other responsibilities may be monitoring medication administration, assessing conflict situations with residents, providing medication, and contacting supervisors as needed. Intakes may be conducted by night security. The Night Security/Treatment Assistant will follow policies and procedures, all rules and instructions regarding the therapeutic milieu and routines. Essential Job Functions: Check in with prior staff for any resident report and receive any added assignments. The nature of the work performed requires that an employee in this class establish and maintain close cooperative working relationships with the supervisor, other law enforcement and emergency response personnel, inmates and the general public. Because the work is performed in close proximity with persons convicted of criminal offenses, the work involves an element of personal danger. An employee in this class is required to maintain complete confidentiality on all matters pertaining to law enforcement operations, Law Enforcement Department personnel and the general public. This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City-County of Butte-Silver Bow and the Butte Police Protective Association. Applicants cannot have a dishonorable discharge from the Armed Forces; nor can they have any convictions for misdemeanors involving false statements, perjury, or domestic violence. The top qualified applicants will be invited to written and physical testing. The written exam consists of four separately timed sections, with no prior law enforcement knowledge required.
