We're looking for a professional and vigilant unarmed security officer to perform vehicle patrols and access control for a gated community in Duluth, GA. The ideal candidate will be the face of our community's security, ensuring a safe and peaceful environment for all residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct constant vehicle patrols throughout the community to deter crime and identify any security or maintenance issues.
Manage the gated access control point, verifying the identity of residents, guests, and vendors.

Qualifications:

This is an onsite role full-time role.
Greets visitors and staff in a professional and polite manner
Monitor employee and visitor traffic to be alert to suspicious persons or situations
Advises supervisor of potential security problems
Receives complaints and/or information from employees and visitors and takes appropriate action
Checks visitor and employee identification badges in buildings where identification is required
Maintains and records appropriate information in the shift logbook.
Completes incident reports accurately and timely to include all pertinent information to assist Security Director
Assigned to security posts as designated by Security Director

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Receives and searches new inmates for weapons and contraband; receives, labels, and stores all personal property of each inmate until release or transfer; assigns a county number and dorm house to inmates; places inmate in proper dorm house.
Patrols facility and grounds providing security of all areas including the dorms, recreational yard and recreational rooms; maintains constant watch and reports any unusual circumstances or occurrences to superior officers; holds monthly fire drills.
Distributes meals and medication as directed; inspects dormitories and assures all cell doors are locked;; controls TV, heat, and lighting from cages in each dorm; checks on isolation cells.
Transports inmate work crews to job sites; guards inmates while they perform manual labor tasks such as cutting grass, patching roads, cleaning curbs, clearing rights-of-way, picking up trash, trimming limbs, cleaning rest rooms, painting, clearing ditches, moving furniture, unloading trucks, and janitorial duties.
May relieve a superior officer as needed.
Transports inmates to and from the doctor, dentist, courthouse or any other location necessary; may serve on the disciplinary or classification committee.

Draws and paints traffic, street and special signs; utilizes sign and paint machines daily.
Lays out, marks, and paints parking lots; paints stop bars, center lines, and crosswalks, and arrows on County streets; makes price estimates to other departments requesting parking lot marking and sign painting.
Obtains pricing for signs, paint and paint equipment and supplies; prepares and submits purchase orders for approval; maintains inventory.
Maintains work order file and daily activity log.
Confers with the public; obtains and/or provides street sign and marking information.
Performs other related duties as required.
