ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Event #3 Victim Rescue - This event requires lifting and dragging a 180 lbs. dummy approximately 50 ft. within (1) minute or less.
Event #4 Weapons Test - This event requires twelve (12) trigger pulls with each hand within (30) thirty seconds or less.
Event #5 Vehicle Push - This event requires pushing a standard size patrol vehicle a distance of approximately ten (10) feet on a paved, level surface with the gear in neutral within (1) one minute or less.
Event #6 Tire Change - This event requires physically removing a spare tire from the rear compartment of the patrol vehicle and placing it on side of the rear wheel of the patrol vehicle, then placing the same tire back into the patrol vehicle's rear compartment area within (1) one minute or less.
Every event will be pass or fail and every event must be passed to continue in the hiring process. Every event will be demonstrated before attempted by the applicant. If an applicant fails an event and wishes a second attempt, the second attempt will be attempted before moving on to the next event.

Under limited supervision, the SOC SecurityOfficer provides security and protection of work site(s), personnel, and assets at the assigned job site. This position monitors the access control system and electronic inventory control system, operates the CCTV system, coordinates radio and telephone communications, maintains the shift log and confidential/sensitive documentation, and answers the after-hours site main number and emergency phone number. Performs all work in accordance with established safety and operational procedures.
The position is a key contributor to the security operations team in the event of a crisis/emergency that would threaten the safe and secure business operations. Verbal communication skills and the ability to appropriately respond to emergency situations are critical.
The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but the company may identify other duties of the position. These responsibilities may differ depending on business necessities and client requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years of prior military, law enforcement, corrections, or private security experience. Previous experience working at a Security Operation Center (SOC) or in a Dispatch environment.
At least six (6) months experience in maritime facility security operations.
Proficiency in electronic security management applications including Microsoft Office, Video, Access Control, and Alarm Management.
Knowledge of communications and dispatch operations.
Valid driver's license.
State Unarmed SecurityOfficer License or able to obtain.
Able to proficiently speak, read, understand and write English
Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to interact with all levels of personnel, external agencies, and the general public in a professional and effective manner.
Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and effectively.
As a condition of employment, must be able to successfully complete a criminal background investigation, drug screen, and a post-offer physical evaluation.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & APTITUDES
Knowledge of communications and dispatch operations, the Maritime Transportation Security Act, applicable Coast Guard Navigation and Vessel Inspection Circulars, and pertinent security regulations.
Must have strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Must have the ability to remain calm and to mitigate high stress security situations involving multiple complex operations and large groups of personnel.
Must have the ability to understand and operate integrated sensor packages, including audio, video, motion detection, and access control systems.
Maturity of judgement and behavior
Ability to present self in a highly professional manner with the understanding that honesty, integrity and ethics are essential.
Ability to communicate respectfully with all visitors, coworkers, vendors, supervisors, managers, customers and client representatives.
Ability to provide clear directions and respond accordingly.
Must have basic phone and computer skills (email, texting, two-way radio, etc.)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Understand and successfully execute post orders including enforcement of client and company policies, rules and regulations.
Provide security related customer service and emergency response activities as required.
Guard property against damage, fire, theft, and illegal or unauthorized entry.
Display courteous, respectful and professional interactions with the public and customers.
Perform security/console and emergency response duties in accordance with site-specific procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Responsible for monitoring the client's access control system. Monitor control center equipment such as closed-circuit television, alarms, police scanners, printer, etc., to protect company assets and personnel and control access to building areas.
Monitor CCTV activity. Initiate response to site alarms in accordance with site procedures.
Keep track of the working status of all electronic equipment. Alert the Site Manager of malfunctioning equipment.
Monitor local and enterprise systems for incidents or threats to Company personnel/assets.
Manage all emergency call and dispatch emergency personnel. Ensure critical communications are made as required.
Effectively and coherently communicate over the phone or radio channels.
Respond to security incidents and emergency situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
Complete all job required forms/logs and documentation accurately and timely.
May assist management and law enforcement officials in emergency situations.
Conduct monthly fire extinguisher/AED checks.
Maintain high standards for work areas and appearance. Comply with established dress code/uniform requirements.
Knowledge of all duties associated with the basic patrol/post officer(s). May be requested to occasionally serve as a patrol/post or badging officer.
Report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness.
Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and appropriate professionalism.
Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
This position requires working a rotational schedule, different shifts, overtime, or flexible work hours based on company or client needs.
Attend company/job required training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
May step up into the Lead/Shift Supervisor role as requested.
