The Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) office is the central administrative support office within RCA for external funding for research and scholarly activity on campus. SPA is responsible for administering research-related policies, procedures, and coordination of research-related services. The office provides services for university personnel conducting or seeking to conduct research or other scholarly activity using external funds. SPA also generates reports regarding research metrics and externally funded scholarly activities across the university. The primary purposes of this position revolve around shared responsibility for proposal review and approval, as well as award receipt, review, and negotiation. This position will work with post-award matters including contractual amendments/modifications, and as a secondary purpose work with subaward functions. This position also provides back-up support to Department Leadership, and the Award & Budget Officer, as needed.
